What's the best way to answer the "tell me about yourself" question? It makes me so nervous... I never know where to start or what type of points to hit and then I lose confidence in the rest of the interview because I'm worried about how badly that answer went.

Resumé question - I’m wanting to portray myself as someone with the EQ to be able to relate to clients, even in situations that are less than positive. For example, we had a client project that was way off track, expectations were missed, and they were considering terminating the contract. I stepped in and calmed the waters, reset expectations, and turned the project around. Any tips on quantifying this in a results-oriented way on my resumé that MBB wants to see?

A friend is willing to refer at the Associate level in my target office though I did not get any traction w/ the referral last year. I'm a Veteran so I also recognize there may be a resume translation issue despite the prior version getting me interviews with BCG and Bain.
