The first airline to reinstate change fees will get such a bad PR blow.

Wow 22 seats. The flight might have been originally scheduled on a 737/A319 or similar size plane and was switched to an E-Jet when demand dropped last year. United already said change fees are gone “forever”, hopefully they are the trendsetter.

I mean... this is the company who beat an old man because he wouldn’t get off a plane... and the ceo supported it....

My money is on never. I don't see how an airline can justify making people who may be sick choose between traveling while contagious and paying exorbitant fees. But maybe I'm an optimist 😏

I never understood change fees for flight tickets. Hers why; I can buy a $1000 mattress, have it shipped across the US (probs costs a lot), use it for 100 days and then decide I dont want it anymore for a full refund. This is the level of customer service Gen Z and Y expect. Why cant you return a ticket that you bought and haven’t used any service yet. Also, if you change the flight, it typically goes up in price anyway by selecting a higher fare! There will likely have to be some rules around it, like its free until 72 hours before the flight or something to help them plan

Can anybody shed light on why I got bumped? I booked an award ticket (class YN), which I thought removed you from upgrade eligibility unless you have the Chase United card (have the no AF version).

Thinking outside the box: need H1B renewal stamping, eligible for Dropbox in my home country. However, going there is still risky in case of a 221g and consulates closed. Can I send my passport to my home country through a friend for Dropbox stamping? Once the stamping is done, I can travel to home country (after they courier my passport back) Is this possible or am I going crazy?

Does the amount of "Breakthrough Cases" rising among those fully vaccinated make anyone... wonder? Now there's a "Delta+" variant? Now they are saying "No vaccine is 100% effective so this is to be expected"? As if we're just suppose to shrug our shoulders after they have been pressuring everyone to get the vaccine? I'm fully vaxed but I can't help but wonder... this is what the Anti-Vaxers have been warning and saying the whole time and it's making me second guess which side I'm on...
