At a boutique firm for just over a year, I know this isn’t the best place for my growth, but a promotion is coming. Am I better of sticking around or try to go to MBB or big 4 at an associate level?
I was offered a large raise/promotion at my current company (Series A Funded, been here since seed round). I have the option to do stock or cash or a combo. Anyone have an idea on what to do for something like this? We have good funding and are considered a first mover in our vertical. It's SaaS but we are having issues figuring out our business model and product. We have a lot of F100 customers though. any suggestions?
Glory to God. After a long battle of advocating for my own career advancement while being under a team who intentionally did not support my advancement/career growth, I finally***** got promoted. With a 10% raise. It was a battle but I stayed faithful to Gods word and sought the kingdom first. Again. ALL. Glory. To. God. 🙌🏽🙌🏽 1 Peter 5:6 God will exalt you in due time if you humble yourselves under his mighty hand...
Those who went from PA tax to industry tax, years spent in PA and pay raise % when you left?
Today I got a promotion/ raise. Not your typical confession, I know, but I moved to this city a year ago and still have no friends/family doesn’t care. No one to tell, but for once I’m proud of myself
Raise your hand if you’ve gotten this mind-blowing brief: it’s delicious AND nutritious

If I am being marketed in proposals as a senior and being referred to on engagements as “our senior staff” but I am only a staff, can I use this to leverage an early promotion to senior?
Do people get held back for promotion if their AOS is pending in the middle of promotion time?
Let's talk salary. I'm up for a raise soon and I'm at 43,000 a year. Anyone have any advice on what I should ask for?
Debating if I should go for a promotion that a bunch of people are saying I should go for. Just wondering if it’s a weird time to do it since the higher paid you are, the bigger the target you tend...
Sr Product Analyst exit opportunities? I'm close to promotion to manager at Big 4 in analytics space. Stay until promotion or take Sr Product Analyst position at fintech company. Pay will be roughly the same + RSUs I'm curious about career path/exit ops as product analyst and how much exit ops improve as b4 manager compared to senior consultant. Any insights appreciated!
I do like the work..but I know I’ll be paid atleast 35K more if I leave..and not sure if the next promotion will happen sooner than 3 years..leave or stay? Don’t have much partner or leadership support but not in a bad book as well
I need to get a pulse check on my sanity... i live in Michigan, and sports gambling has become legal in the past year. Now every other commercial is about sports gambling, sports announcers are making in game advertisements, I get hit with social media ads, so on and so forth. I’m not against sports gambling, but the constant promotion seems like “corporate America” is taking advantage of addictive human tendencies, and contributing to the perpetuation of wealth inequality in America.. am I nuts
I just started at a new company 2 months ago with the expectation of having 3-4 people on my team. However, my team size will be increasing to 7. I don’t really want to rock the boat so early at my new job especially since I’m still in the “drinking from the firehose” phase, but this is going to be a significant increase in responsibility. We only have pay review in January of each year. Would it be crazy to ask about a raise later this month?
In my first year as an audit associate I got rated bottom bucket in every category. I think this traumatized me. I have since jumped firms and constantly get great reviews. Even got a mid year promotion one year. But I can’t help but think I’m on the verge of being fired.
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
How bad is the ATL airport today?
As a male mid-level/senior associate, can you take the full parental leave (10-14 weeks) and come out without impact on partnership prospects? What are questions I should be asking to get at this issue before accepting a lateral offer? Quiz recent junior partners with kids? Seems a bit aggressive but may be necessary.
Seeking help preparing for Senior Financial Analyst interview at Google. Would really appreciate if existing SFAs or those who've been through the process recently could share insights on how to prepare and what to expect.
Hi folks! I moved to DC recently and used to sell my art on the side before I came to America. I can’t do that here on my visa, but I still paint 🙂 If anyone is looking for abstract artwork on canvases DM me and I can share my art page with you where I post my canvases at cost price - just covering some of my materials so I can keep painting! (A great deal considering what they used to go for 😂) I’m looking for good homes for all this artwork building up! 🙌
Anyone willing to connect and provide coaching on how to get into MBB or management consulting in general? I recently have an interview with one of the MBB for EM position, I don't think I would get it, but interested in learning more as I've always wanted to do management consulting. I plan to reapply in a year or so.
Any United Global Services willing to upgrade my K class economy flights in December? I am 1K and have 5 GPUs but can’t use them on K class. Appreciate it!
EY Frequent Travelers: How are you going to expense your cell phone + wifi hotspot bill come January? Any way around the $60 cap?
Anybody think the 3% conference is worth it this year? It's been too expensive in the past but $99 is much more affordable... Although what does a zoom conference get you experience wise
How do you manage to get covid test done in the 24 hours window? PCR takes time and none of the labs I reached out to does rapid testing.

Why are the Big 4 considered to be the best places to work and best consulting firms? Other than prestige and brand I don’t understand why they’re consistently rated and regarded so highly
Anybody ever worked in Italy? How are the salaries, what’s the office culture like, etc.?
How much does firm prestige matter? Currently at lesser known firm with lower than B4 reputation.
I got hired to work as a 9-5. Will I work more if there is a need because we have tight deadlines? Absolutely, but don’t expect me to do so all the time and be available on the weekends. Why is it being celebrated to turn into a slave for a firm that doesn’t care about you anyways? Had a boss that was proud that he worked 60+ and also worked when he took vacation leave. Am I being oversensitive?
I'm looking to pivot from consulting into tech. I've gotten lots of interesting from tech companies on the ops side but am much more interested in product management. Any advice on books or courses to help make the transition? I'm struggling to land PM interviews at companies that aren't tiny startups :(
Being terminated as part of reorg. 13 years of service, consistently exceeded expectations. Officially considered partner. Package is 26 weeks of severance pay, two months "gardening leave", plus payout of long-term incentive. Would have preferred a more cooperative approach to voluntary retirement. Thoughts?
