I’m not British but I travel(ed) to London for a week at a time and did it quarterly. It was totally doable.
If you’re trying to work remotely for those trips with your US based company, it’s a bit harder. The time difference stinks
Oh that’s great, if you’re open to it that makes a big difference! Thinking about it I of course hated working late / US hours because I wanted to go explore but since you’re from there that’s not as much of a need :)
Good luck OP! Enjoy the city!

Not a Brit but that’s totally doable. It’s not too much further than crossing the US and I used to do that twice a week 🤷🏾♀️
Only issue right now is managing COVID limitations/requirements
Time difference has always felt trivial to me, but I’m used to working with colleagues across at least 8 time zones

Yeah it’s definitely a transition, but honestly it will teach you how small and accessible the world really is.
Best of luck!!
Brit living in NYC here! It’s doable although I don’t go back quite that frequently. NYC > LON flights are frequent and it’s easier than flying to LA.

I like to take the day flight on a Saturday back. Helps so much with the jet lag! And yes, in normal times I go back 4 times a year.
Not Brit but did that for 2+ years including living in UK. In normal times it’s v easy and time difference is manageable people understand there’s only 3-4 hours of overlap everyday
I typically (pre-covid) used to make the trip to London about 5 or more times a year and it’s definitely pretty doable. Especially once you get into the routine.

Not a Brit but I made 7 trips to London in 2019, so totally doable.

Yay! Glad to hear. I feel as long as it’s my SO and me it will be very doable. Little more nervous once we have kids but will figure out something

Also for those who have been there are taxes now relatively similar btwn the two places? Think now they’re relatively similar? Just trying to get a sense of what to expect
I think it’s because the produce gets frozen immediately and transported longer times than back home. But yeah agree, grocery shopping is insanely expensive and fresh produce tastes of nothing
I did it monthly for a year NYC to LHR. It takes 1-2 days to adjust to timezone and its worst traveling east. I tried to take the latest redeye flight and pull all nighter the night before so I could sleep on the flight. Returning was not bad at all, I would just wake up around 3-4 am for a few days.
