Just touching down in Heathrow after a few weeks in the US. Prefer being with my SO in my own home than stuck working remotely at a hotel.
Having said that, last time I checked, the travel ban won't prevent you from leaving / staying in the US. Just that once you've left, you can't go back in.
Oh I see. I think if you're a permanent resident, you can still travel, but would need to enter through a few approved airports. But probably best to double-check.
To me, personally the choice was whether I wanted to stay in the UK for the next 1 month or the US. Don't particularly feel like traveling back and forth at the moment...
Yes. US-UK duel citizen but home in the UK now to be with family.
Planning to inform them tomorrow. I’m hoping that concerns/rules around taxation due to international telecommuting won’t be as strongly enforced during these times. If they are not supportive then I’ll seek secondment to the UK.
My husband is in UK with elderly mother. He’s debating when to come home. Regardless of when he will likely have to go into quarantine for 14 days. Where does he go for that?
I think it’s just self quarantine at home
