Need advise on what to say during virtual baby shower.

My friend is hosting a virtual baby shower for me and one of activities wants me to do is to show people my room and the stuff I have for the baby. I think that's a good time for me to say "Thank you for your baby gifts" since I'm showing the gifts.

Oof. Crying like crazy. My in laws called me and were insanely emotionally abusive about my grief. It’s Father’s Day and we had a wedding to go to. I didn’t expect to be this affected but something triggered my grief. So I didn’t go. They called me and said such toxic things and implied I need “help”. Yes it’s been 2 years but I also do a lot for my family and husband and others. It’s very rare that my grief gets triggered. I’m allowed to have 1 bad day out of 365.

Hello. I work at a mid size erp/epm consulting firm and my base salary is not comparable to big4s. I currently make a TC of 105k with two years of consulting experience. I asked for a raise last month and now my TC will be pumped up to 126k at the end of year. I have been poached by many consulting firms and some are offering 135-150k TC. My 13 month old goes to daycare 4 days a week, and from next week will go 5 days a week. My mind knows this is not a big deal, but my heart is troubled. He is growing up so fast and now I will have 1 day less to spend time with him, but on other hand, wasn’t able to get anything done! Fridays are no meeting day at work for me, and usually a very chill day so I was able to manage him all alone as husband is in a busy project and has meetings all day, but nothing was getting done on home front!
