People say anyone can get in clinical research but every position requires experience.
CRA, here. I saw your question to another person. You need experience to get onto the CRA track. It is by no means entry level. We have a CRA shortage so I have seen the training programs expand their eligibility criteria, but all I’ve seen come out of doing so is setting up people to fail. Focus on site experience or entry level jobs (CTA, IHCRA, CRC Assistant).
I have looking into CTA but have had no Luck finding a job despite meeting the qualifications.
Do you have research experience? You’re competing against applicants that have on-site experience with patients on trials. Expand your job search to academic centers, it is easier right now get in there, after about 6 months -1 year you can update your resume / linked in, and try again. You can also look at taking some research courses if you don’t already have them, GCP, for example. Look up ACRP, SOCRA and sign up for whatever is free. They have some information on their websites that can help you familiarize with the field and that can help you update your resume with keywords and buzzwords that signal relatable crossover experience if you have healthcare experience but it is not research related.
I have 5 years of experience in ClinOps in CROs but apparently that doesn't count? I even have an ACRP-CP. Do I have to be a CRC to get my first role as a CRA?
