Hi im looking to change paths and pursue IB, im working as a financial analyst at a big retail company right now and im working on acquiring my SIE. Just wondering if anyone has advice as to how to get IB firms to respond fo my applications and score more interviews. Or maybe even another path i could take like equity research and hopefully build experience to get into IB. I did not go to top school, i attended a state school and got a BA in Economics. Also I dont have any deal experience.

EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS. I mean I use them by going to the Management console. Also has knowledge in VPC, subnets, security groups but i tend to forget some of these concepts.

Hi 🐠- I have 2 interviews (1 first round, 1 final round) to be scheduled with MBB and got postponed due to COVID. Months later I found PM work really interesting and now thinking about devoting time to learn PM and switch. Currently at B4 and MBB used to be my dream. If you were me, will you continue to practice cases to get into MBB or switch gear for PM? I work in insurance. I was working for an Allstate agent and was fired the day after my grandmothers funeral for being “unenthusiastic in our morning meeting”. Now I’m having anxiety searching for a job. I don’t think I want to sell anymore yet every single recruiter I interview with says I should, that I have a “salesperson mentality”. I’m burnt out.
