No and I can’t imagine that would work. I like seeing my kid ;)
I know someone who lives in a separate condo downtown and his wife lives in a house in the burbs. They say it works better for them logistically and also they get to chose their preference of neighborhood that way. I don’t get it, but good for them!

I know a number of people whose job is in a different city than their home, so they commute to the work location and have an apartment there. They are pretty much all senior execs with kids in high school so they don’t want to move their family.
I also saw a lot of this when I was in the Army a spouse would not want to move overseas with the military member. And per above post, often ended with divorce.
