Well I just finished my first interview and they said that they want to hire me as mid-level and revisit the senior title after I get settled in. Now I’m scared to even interview for a Sr. position. Fellow ACDs, I have a question. Since becoming an ACD, It feels a lot like project management and wrangling creatives to get their work done. I don’t remember being this dismissive of my projects as a Jr/Midlevel. I feel more like a creative babysitter that picks up scraps than it actually feels like improving the work. I try to talk to them/help manage their time but I feel like they inherently lack motivation. What is y’all’s experience as an ACD? Is this what it’s like usually?
