With that setup, you really love taxes don’t you

funny

Do you actually need a CPA for this? Most tax software will apply the credit for taxes paid to another state automatically.

Lol same situation here. I’m a cpa but don’t understand taxes so I’m going to hire a cpa to figure out the allocation method

I spent part of 2021 and 2022 working remote in California and NY has been a nightmare every year. Had to hire a CPA to deal with it in 2021 and this year it took them like 8 months to process my refund.

Hi Fishes,

My wife is getting transferred to California and she is offered 143k.

How much she can get after tax deduction and all? How much she can save after all the expenses?

She is insisting that I travel with her and get the job in the US. I'm a software developer having 4.1 YOE. How much can I get in the US? Is it worth traveling with her?

Any information would be helpful, Thanks in advance...

Leaving a company as a team JPMorgan Chase

Hello does anyone have experience or know of a case where a team or at least a group of people moved together to another employer.

For context we are a strong developer team that has been saddled with less than ideal migration with a vendor that is really not up to scratch and a big chunk of the team is not ok with that. So I wonder if there is a precedent of people just moving in bulk.

So I recently found out that my current company is underpaying me. And by that I mean that literally any other company is willing to pay me 15-20k more than what I make now. In my current role they've asked me to take on extra responsibilities with no financial compensation (scrum master type stuff) while still doing my engineering stuff. I don't necessarily mind it, but I'm starting to feel like I'm being taken advantage of. Is it reasonable for me to ask for a raise? Or do I go somewhere else?

Does anyone have any advice for a junior C++ engineer. Or do companies generally don't hire a specific language. You just have to take on whatever code work is available. Are you specifically hired for a particular tech in your company? Or most of the time you just end up not doing it at all?
