Hello Everyone! Does anyone have a connection at Netflix ! I am an author/marketing associate and truly my dream job is to work on the team that creates/produces Drive to Survive. I am a huge F1 fan! However, I am willing to start where I can and work my way there! I was laid off due to Covid and just trying to get back into the field and industry I love.

If u care about work life balance id go the copy route. I did and am so glad all I deal with is Google slides and word docs.
Pick one but maintain the other. There are “creatives” out there who do both (but you would need to be truly exceptional at both). Also, an AD/designer who knows how to lay down a concept and can work the words will go as far as any copywriter.
OP Depends on the agency setting. If you’re at a stodgy old agency, I imagine poorly. If you’re interested in new media, social etc and smaller shops, well. Any “creative” I’ve known has a project-based task and otherwise runs support where they can.
Yup. Overall, design is more flexible and useful in multiple industries, but in advertising a copywriter has a higher ceiling salary-wise. I’d consider those points, but at the end of the day pick the one you love more.
It sometimes feels so hard to choose! I guess it comes with time also!
