Hey! CST/CSFA in Ohio! I'm making more now because of FA, but I think that our CSTs are making around $21-$25! Not specialized just general hospital OR.

CST in Louisiana here. $23/hr with 3 years of experience, and a friend in New Orleans makes $26. No specialty but at a children's hospital fwiw.

Hi friends,
I just wanted to share what I feel for the few months. No drive in my life, been in depression phase.I have recently resigned form the job. I am planning for a career switch, it's been 2 months now. Nothing is going in the right way, feeling very low and no confidence at all. Negativity from the family , relatives constantly invading me for the joblessness. Now I am at my home watching my friends moving abroad, me at the zero level.

In terms of switching organizations, how often is okay?
I have total 5.9 years of experience in total and current company is my 4th. It goes as below -
1st company - 2 years 5 months
2nd - 1 year
3rd - 1 year
4th - 1 year 3 months (current)
Thinking of switching now. Will this have any negative impression on my overall resume?

I don't know who needs to hear this, but I have a few former classmates and colleagues sweating over lateral interviews. Take a deep breath and relax.

First, doing these interviews does not define you as a person.

Second, take it one day at a time; if they are moving forward, they see something in you.

Third, remember that the people interviewing you are human beings. Connect with them, be personable.

Hello all!

I’m a MSN, RN with 7 years of critical care nursing experience (ICU/PACU). Prior to becoming a nurse, I was a Medical Service Corps officer in the US Army for 8 years. I have my BSN/MSN and a non-nursing MA.
I’m interested in shifting gears to healthcare consulting. I’ve heard great things about Chartis and would love to hear more, specifically with regards to nurses making the jump. Can anyone offer insight or any other consulting firm they recommend?
Thank you in advance!

I work at st Christopher’s hospital for children in Philadelphia PA. And RD starting salary is $61,000. I think this is very poor for having a specialty and going thru 5-8 years of schooling with 3.5 years experience. The hospital also did not give the clinical nutrition department a bonus because we aren’t considered direct patient care?? We are 100% direct patient care on the floors and every unit. Thoughts on this for any fellow RDs?
