Which role can give 6 figure salary in Marsh?
I’ve been here 6 years and the only thing I’ll add is the 401K match doesn’t increase after two years. Other reply may be thinking of the vesting schedule. You’ll be 100% vested in your 401k after two years but your company match will be the same.
You get an annual bonus and cost of living adjustment. But the real wage growth comes from promotions. Can’t speak for my department, but that’s been my experience anyways.
Bonus is based on a combination of you performance and the company’s performance. You have a target bonus % based on your pay grade and the bonus can be more or less depending on results from the prior year
Quietly following, lol. I just accepted an offer in their remote CSR role.
I currently work for liberty mutual pay scale is public with other coworkers based on where you live & your pay grade number you can look up how much you’ll make. The benefits are great 401k match is 50% up to 8% of your pay until after 2 years then it’ll be 100% up to 8% of your pay. Health insurance is ok but i mean i haven’t seen great insurance anywhere lol. Work/life balance is amazing. They want you to take vacation time off. You start with 15 “pto” days they called them “fto” flexible time off which start accumulating on your first day of work with 1.5 days every month. I’m on my second month here so i have 3 days to use already then after 90 days of starting you get 4 personal days these days do not roll over onto the next year so you must use them before the year ends the fto does rollover. Fto also goes up the longer you’re there. So far everyone that i have met and worked with really loves working for liberty mutual i just started but i can say so far I’m loving it. They’re also big on giving raises and promoting you after 6 months of working.
Ohhhh that sounds cool. Thank you. I’m going to look into this!
I won’t belabor the details but Liberty is amazing. Many great perks in addition to regular benefits. Pay is great, opportunity to move around/up is great, people are great. Would accept 100%.
there literally isn’t any bad or ugly cause it’s such an incredible company. ditto everything everyone else said. pay is competitive, opportunities for growth are endless. promotions happen twice a year. theres a reason people stay and want to retire at liberty
I have been at Liberty for a little over a year and I am a auto claims adjuster. I can agree the benefits are pretty good, there is a good work life balance and the culture is great! I’m currently looking to leave due to management (most of the managers in my zone are new to management) and the workload. My zone is fairly new and the expectations have reached unrealistic and the management staff doesn’t seem to really understand that. Over the last four months we have lost over 100 people due to majority the transitioning to a different department and the other handful have either resigned or went on a leave of absence. It’s hard to take time off and stay afloat when you come back because the back up team doesn’t really back you up. There should be a better process in place for when adjusters are out. But overall I’ll rate 7 out of 10.
I’m with u on that!
I’ve been at liberty mutual for 6 years as a sale agent. Benefits are good, we use united healthcare and our health insurance is cheaper but pretty crap compared to my fiancés. Dental and vision are pretty standard. 401k and pension are good and they do offer a lot of benefits other companies do not. For instance I get 8 week paid paternity leave, they also cover a lot of adoption costs if you go that route. They offer great education benefits including more insurance related things like cpcu. Work life balance in sales is a joke, and the compensation has been going down quite a bit. (We’re making roughly half what we used to). I think the company is turning a rough corner and hopefully things go back to where they were. Another complaint I have is our insurance including disability and life is outsourced now to Lincoln and they are the absolute worst thing to work with.
As for culture it seems liberty just rides the tail coat of the latest “thing”. I mean this like 2 years ago on juneteenth they gave us the day off, and we haven’t even gotten a email since in my department. It seemed they only did it to save face or get some positive press. The first months during Covid they were very accommodating, but that also fell off quickly. They always seem to do the right thing as long as it’s a good look for the company is what I’m saying. This isn’t a bad thing, just not really a great thing. It seems they rank importance as what’s best for the company first, customers 2nd and employees last.
Culture depends on your department. I haven’t had one leader is disliked, they’re all very caring and being a wealth of knowledge to their roles.
What I’m saying is. I’d 10000% take a job here. Just be prepared for a bumpy road while the top executives are all transitioning (our ceo is retiring at the end of the year).
You will have so much growth opportunity at liberty. It changed my life.
Which role are you looking at?
Chubb is great. What level? Manager, sr adjuster, GA? Liberty reached out about a Large Loss manager position but I love Chubb so much that I’m not sure I’m interested. Chubb bonus and 401k blows the others away.
I’ve worked for Liberty for over 5 years now and came from a different carrier. I absolutely love it. They are flexible, optimal room for growth within the company (I’ve had four promotions since starting) and you can find opportunities in different areas of the company as well. I went from adjuster to now being in ops. They also invest a lot into their DE&I programs so it’s a very inclusive place to work.
