I am struggling with mild depression to a point where it takes every ounce of energy in me to care about the work I have to do. Apathy has been my biggest obstacle, and guilt compounds on top of it because I am completely aware that I am slacking and struggling yet I find myself stuck and unable to move forward on a task.

I make a very low salary and can’t afford unpaid time off. Anyone have any tips if they have been in a similar position? I am seeing a therapist as well.

Anyone have experience working at Lumen Technologies? Or know anything about it? Considering applying to an open position there. Thanks!

It’s seems somewhat fishy.

I started at a US-based company about 3 weeks ago in a permanently remote role based out of Canada. Since it is a remote job, I planned to visit my family in December who stay in another country and continue working from there as per my current time zone for a couple of weeks. My manager shot down this plan saying I’m too new to make this work and I should have told this before I joined, he’d have delayed my joining. Am I being unreasonable in my request? I would be grateful for any advice. TYSM

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?

I am currently an Assistant Manager for my companies Operations department. I have been in the role since Feb 2018, initially as a Supervisor, and in the beginning of 2021 got promoted to Assistant Manager. Prior to this role I worked as a claim adjuster since the beginning of 2009. I feel my current comp for my role is underpaying me ($80k CAD), but wanted to ask here to get perspective.

Are there any supervisor or manager positions within claims available or becoming available that anyone knows about? It can be private passenger or commercial claims… Ten + years of experience and looking for that opportunity….

My employer is going on a hiring blitz and is offering new hires of the same position a higher salary than I currently have, is this normal or should I demand a raise?

I quit my previous job approximately 5-6 months ago due to toxic culture and being pressured to commit fraud… I fear hiring managers see that I’ve been out of work for this time and may assume I was fired or laid off. Hi! Considering accepting an Account Director offer at a small agency (35 people). The role handles client management and also doing strategy work / planning for clients. I’ve typically had strategy departments dedicated to that at larger agencies. Anyone have experience with this? Is the workload manageable between traditional AM duties and strategy? I accepted a FADP offer but I have lifelong crippling anxiety It leads to (TMI) diarrhea, I can’t sleep at night, among a lot of other issues. I see a therapist and have their support in school accom. I appear high functioning and ever since uni went remote my life and performance has only improved. I know I’m capable of getting the work done and they must see potential if they hired me. But I feel that if I ask for WFH or other accom. I’m gonna be shooting myself and my career in the foot.
