Once you obtain your H1-B petition approval (i797), can you schedule the visa stamping appointment/interview with a consulate in any country or are there location restrictions?
Has anyone who is transition into data science, got an interview call based only on POC's?
Getting far along in the interview process.. kind of starting to get cold feet. Anyone been in the same spot (current job is not exciting anymore but fear of the unknown giving you second thoughts)?
Anyone here in consulting? I just got a job offer after some interviews that's a 47% raise from my current comp, but as a new father in his late 30s just wondering if the time away might be terrible. It's slalom consulting (emerge) which emphasizes work life balance and all that but just wanted to get y'all's thoughts.
Are paid interview prep bootcamps worth it? I see programs that charge hefty sums like 5% of your new salary, but only if you land the job you want. They aren't worth it for lateral moves but could they help me exit consulting to an amazing tech product role?
What’s the typical turnaround time from final interview to offer with most consulting firms? Just tryna gauge if I need to request an extension. Final round happened on Monday.
In interviews, I clicked *really* well with the partner, and reasonably well with the SM. Then the opposite experience for another firm; reasonably well with partner, really well with SM. Which relationship is more important?
Had a final interview earlier this week where at the end my interviewer said “hope I’ll be seeing you after Christmas!” (the position would start in January). But it’s been a couple days and I haven’t heard anything and I’m starting to freak out 😭
I've received an interview for a position that seems interesting, but is in Singapore. How hard is it to navigate the visa situation there?
Looking for a Spring 2020 internship opportunity in MBB. I’d love to know more about the kind of opportunities and get any leads accordingly. Any advice would be appreciated.
Looking at just the comp / growth / exit perspective, would you be better off going for a UMM operating role or LMM investment role (interests lie w deal team but experience screams operator)? Offer from operations comes in high - MBB/Harvard alum on Op team. LMM Associate offer lower all-in than 3YOE consultant base comp at T2, but is with deal team. Any advice is much appreciated!
Folks who conduct interviews at FAANG level companies (behavioral and technical): what is it that you are “actually” looking for in candidates? I realize there are standards you’re making sure folks live up to, but is there ever a role that “gut feeling” plays in people you accept or reject?
Howdy 🐠 My wife has an interview with Gartner for a Manager, Strategy position within the Global Strategy & Operations Team. Any advice?
Have my final panel interview for a BizOp role in an hour. It’s in one of my favorite cities so wish me luck please! If you’re feeling extra generous feel free to drop your favorite go-to interview questions since I have to chat with 5 different people all back-to-back
Any tips on how I can land an MBB interview. My goal is to work there instead of doing an MBA and doing the switch. I have a fairly prestigious undergrad background. ~top 30
Made it to the final interview at a pretty good company for UX Design. Was super excited for it, but didn't make the cut. What do you all do to recover from rejection? Any tips? (Do you prevent yourself from getting attached in the first place?) Also, how do I identify my shortcoming in the interview process so I know what I can improve on them for the next?
What’s the interview process like at Index Partners / Coatue? Do they recruit via HHs as well?
Anyone who renege and get any backlash? I signed an offer with a big 4 for full time and am still interviewing with other companies. ( Was an intern last summer and my offer got pushed out to summer cause my masters is 1.5 years and I graduate in December (In my defense the big 4 refused to let me go to another practice.) Plus pressured by parents to accept something before I graduate.
I’ve got a few interviews next week with PwC Strategy& but they are part of a larger hiring event that seem to all interview with the PwC new equation/professional framework. The recruiter gave me a prep guide but it just says situational interviews..I thought it was supposed to be more case focused? Anyone have any insight or is this how they are interviewing across the board now for consulting roles?
Where do people exit to make good money AND have fun? No politics, no bureaucracy, no sales for the sake of sales. I feel like the market is so hot right now that exit opps are almost limitless, but even FAANG does not seem particularly exciting 😕
I’m making 130 TC post MBA in NYC. I’m not unhappy about my job/company but it feels like there are a ton of better paying opps I could switch to. Am I right to think that? Would you be looking to move elsewhere in my position? Ive been in this role 1 year mainly doing market opp work
If you could earn the same amount of $ with and without an MBA, would you still get an MBA?

Does anyone feel like there is some wage compression going on for HR professionals these days? College recruits/entry level are receiving higher pay, meanwhile those of us with 10+ years of experience often have difficulty making more money.
