Not consulting related. I don’t know what to do, please be kind. Have an acquaintance who lost her medically complex 9 year old son due to a cardiac arrest. I didn’t know what to say to her. After several weeks of building up the courage I messaged her today to check in. She just told me she also lost her other son last week due to a lung infection. How can I help this lady? What can one do to cope? And how do I cope? I’m losing my mind too. I want to stop feeling this pain.

My manager tends to forget that they asked for specific things to be done, and once it’s finished they ask why and don’t seem to remember. They also approve work and criticize after it is presented/sent. Any advice for handling this?
