only downside is less predictable schedule. To me everything else is better

This sums it up pretty well
Not compared to audit. Some weeks can be long with deadlines but overall way better. DM me if you want to chat through FDD. I'm at a national firm but can provide perspective regardless of where you want to be.
I think the stresses are high in FDD. I feel a lot more pressure compared to audit. But still think it’s worth it.
Stress is higher and it’s forsure more unpredictable, but pay is better and it’s 100% more interesting work IMO
I’ve been in FDD 6 months. It’s very possible I’ve just gotten unlucky, but I work way more in FDD. If I’m on a deal - seems like we work till 9pm - midnight every night. And I’ve had to work a bunch of weekends too. But I’ll say it seems like I have just gotten unlucky
I’ve been in for a year and it’s been almost constantly like that. RIP me

Clients are much more demanding, Private equity, corporate development teams, and investment bankers. Sell-sides as well dealing with senior management/cfos and VPs, etc. Your not dealing with the typical finance manager or controller.
