I already have a cash flow positive condo in my name and now planning on buying a townhouse with SO. I’ve worked at Allstate for 4 years as a fast track inside property claims adjuster. When I was brought on, I made $48,000. Now, I make $62,800. Recently, I was offered a role as a coordinated adjuster for $65,800. I heard that the new hires were being paid a much more competitive salary. Would you say this amount is on par with what I should accept?

I'm a new adjuster but have great metrics and feel I'm doing fairly well. My family is struggling living paycheck to paycheck. I've been with my company about 7 months but I feel other companies pay more. I don't want to leave though. Any tips for asking for a salary increase? I was promoted a few months in to a tier 2 but no pay raise goes with that.

What’s the consensus on tattoos in the insurance workplace? I’m in leadership and considering exploring my options due to recent personnel changes. I work remote and have arm sleeves, and any time I would be in-person I’d of course wear a long sleeve shirt to be professional, but worry about a cuff rolling up and tattoos being somewhat visible. I have been in insurance sales for 7 years. Not something was ever thinking I would do. I have a bachelors and masters in general psychology. My masters was more research based in hopes I would go back for my PhD one day. I decided to just go back for my MBA with a concentration in Business Analytics. How can I break out of the insurance sales role and into something else with insurance if all my experience has been sales. Should I just wait until I am done with my degree and then search after?

So I was laid off back in mid April after 5 short months with a job that I absolutely loved. I’m applying to mid-senior level jobs and being told that I’m overqualified and should apply for VP level jobs. When I apply to VP level jobs I’m told those are hired internally.
