Left UK 5 years ago as Mgr because got fed up of low comp (and really, it’s the comp:houseprice ratio). Felt like unless you were in IB or Magic Circle law then getting on the property ladder was v difficult. I got 40LPA(16% variable), C6, for 16 years of experience, I am not sure if this a good offer or not, I have multiple offers on the same level but with more in hand salary. I’m interviewing for an early career HRBP role and I’m looking to see if anyone has some insight on the potential salary range. I did some research and found that an HRBP is usually $100k+. The recruiter asked what my salary expectations are and considering the fact that it is a developmental role I said $80k - $90k, to which her response was “that’s a bit high”. Any thoughts to what would be considered a reasonable range for this role? I’m based in Houston, Tx , 4 YOE, and an HR certification.

But when I cross questioned them what they understand about the domain of my idea they couldn't give answers...!!

I have a recruiter showing me a general overview of FTI Consulting saying that compensation would consist of base salary + monthly qualified billables + 10% to 20% annual bonus. Is this similar to A&M (% of billable hours)? I'm currently in TS but am looking for a boost in compensation, more than a public accounting firm can offer. What kind of $ are FTI seniors making in this market?
