I need some help/advice...
I have 5+ years of experience in project management, finance, and strategy and I just graduated from a top 15 full-time MBA program. I'm pursuing a role in Product Management and am about to wrap up a 12-week internship with a software startup doing just that. Ideally, I'd like to move directly into a PM role in the software space, but I'm not getting much traction. Does anyone have any experience in starting in a more "junior PM" role and working their way up?
Is a part time mba to a top school worth it? Does it matter or not if you plan to move to industry in the future?
I will be starting in my post-MBA role at KPMG Strategy (M&A) this fall. The 3 M&A services are CDD, ODD, and transaction execution (integration/separation).
Looking to understand what the exit opportunities for each of the 3 services above are as well as key skills developed that will transfer directly over.
My goal post-MBA was i-banking or Corp Dev. KPMG Strategy was my backup. My key strength has always been P&L financial modeling so definitely want to continue building off that strength.

For those who have obtained the CFF certification:
I was asked to put together a working plan to obtain my CFF credential. I’m aware of the 2 certificate program (Core and Specialized) through the AICPA that will lead to the CFF. Does anyone have experience in how long it would take to complete the certificates and if there are other necessary or helpful study materials that would be useful? For background, I’m 6 months into working at this firm and have touched a variety of cases.

Y'all isn't really part of my vernacular , so I find myself using "you guys" pretty often. Curious about what the sentiment on this is and what people tend to use instead.
