I don’t know. My insomnia last night saved my ass. At 3:00 am I couldn’t sleep and decided to check my flight for the next day. That’s when I discovered that what I thought was a 5:20 pm flight was actually a 5:20 am flight. 😬
That was your lizard brain that knew your flight time, keeping you awake so you didn’t miss your flight. 😜

Definitely see an MD. In the meantime, It is super-flinstones era but I do benefit (placebo or not) from the PM family - tylenol or advil
My MD is pretty tight. You'll fall asleep after you see her!

However, she mistook the “drowsy eye” alcohol warning for a “winking-eye” alcohol suggestion.
If you don't want to see a doctor, try benadryl and melatonin. Works for me.
But to answer the question cut back on coffee and drinking. Learn to meditate. Set your alarm for 1:00 am or so and pop a melatonin.
I try to stick to a wind down schedule. I know it's difficult sometimes with travel and deliverables that may require us to work later. I take the last hour to read or do something calming. I still don't go to sleep til 1am BUT it's better than my usual 3 am. Hope this helps
