Any females in public acct with 2+ kids? Or do you have any at your firm? Just had my second and I’m wondering how to make it work or if I need to think about new career options.

I have 3 young kids and chose to work part time. Will go back to FT schedule once they are all in school. Those years go by too fast. I didn’t want to miss them growing up.

I have 3 kids, it was easy with 2, still was able to to work full time with full range busy seasons. It is a lot harder with 3, I had to go on 80% schedule. Like everyone else said it is doable if you have good support at home and trusting the people that take care of your kids. I honestly wasn’t able to find anything in the industry that would provide as much flexibility as public.

I have two kids. Found that it actually gets a bit more challenging when they get older because of the after school / weekend activities. As someone else mentioned, my husband also works full time but he doesn’t travel with his job which is a huge help in balancing it all. It’s definitely hard but I would also argue that it’s manageable and PA needs more successful moms as role models

I did a busy season with two kids. You can definitely make it work. I chose a new job in industry. Definitely a little easier, but not always. I had some decent flexibility at the firm, having proved for 10 years that I would always get it done. Pros and cons. I will say, my husband is pretty great with our kids. I imagine it’s much more challenging if you don’t have the support you need.

I have two kids and did a full busy season while nursing/pumping and traveling. Husband also works a full time job, but picks up slack when I am out. When I am in town, I have flexibility to make it work. But it is often jumping off at 5 to pick up kids and jumping back in at 9!to wrap up. My advice would be to try it...and find a rhythm. And if you don’t, then leave. But in my experience it is not terrible!

Balance - use every hour of the 24 in a day. It is tough but manageable - also need support from spouse or others (ie childcare)

I have had a couple managers at various levels in that situation and they have all worked from home either full time or the majority of the time.

I’m doing 60% (3 days) and getting paid 60% of my regular salary. You can try doing compressed week (4 days of 10hrs) and maybe work from home one of those days?

I am expecting my second. It's been tough with one, but the husband has been very supportive and understanding. I'll try with two, full time daycare, and the flexibility that the office has always been offering and see where it goes.
Industry jobs are often less flexible. I like my job and the people in my office, so I hope I can stay as long as possible.

I have 2 kids in elementary school, and I worked with leadership to cutback on travel when they were still in daycare. Once they were both in school, I started traveling again, and I average 35% or so. Having a support system at home is key, whether it’s your spouse or a combination of people. I think this is true in any industry. Every year I’d ask myself if going into corporate would be better, and I’d search job listings, because some days it’s tough ngl. But I’d ultimately decide that I was better off where I was, the opportunities for growth are better in PA and there are flexible work options available if needed. I have the flexibility to work from home, so much can be done virtually these days, and yeah, there have been long days as someone else said where I’ll leave work at 5 and get back online at 9. The other crucial piece is having a support system at work - I work with other women - moms and not - and they have my back. As in every relationship, communication is key!! Good luck!

PWC - 20 hrs? How much of a pay cut did you take? I think my firm only lets you go to a 75% reduced schedule, but I don’t know if it’s worth it.

I don’t have much “overtime” besides my 25 hours but if you do, compressed workweek w/o a paycut would make most sense

There is a company that I want to apply to and I see opportunities on LinkedIn that interest me. I’m also working with a recruiter. It’s close to where I live and she knows where I live but she hasn’t recommended it. I’m guessing she doesn’t have a network with the company. Should I ask her to represent me or should I apply directly myself? What advice do you have? What are the pros and cons?

Hi everyone,

I appeared in L2 round of Capgemini recently.
Just after the intro first question they asked me " Do you have any offer and amount?" This question was asked in technical round.
I'm sure that guy wasn't a Manager.

I don't think he know how to take an interview.

Even after creating 2 asked program and answering 80% of their questions correctly.
Got rejected.
Didn't expect this kind of L2 round from Capgemini.

Hi,
I am an Analyst. I have planned to do MSc in Artificial Intelligence or in Data science. What are job opportunities after the course completion? Is it difficult to get a job in Michigan, Texas, Illinois, Loss Angeles, Santiago?

Need advice. Am in the middle of parental leave right now and my spouse and I are on the brink of divorce. Have only this 1 kid. Spouse doesn’t work yet, but can with earning potential around $50k. I make around $450k. No way I’d keep this job if divorce happens. I’d eventually transition in house so I can take care of my kid when I have him, but that won’t be immediate. How will custody work in that case? I want joint, but how do I take care of him alone with this job in the meantime?

How is the work life balance in Wipro?
Does they provide any reimbursement for WFH peripherals like Accenture does?
