What is easier to break into, data science or data engineering?
In my current role I have opportunities to upskill in either, but it seems like DS might be oversaturated, and hard to get into without a formal education in it. My current tech stack is python/sql/viz tools, and entry level floyd certs for GCP and AWS.
I previously worked at a small Plaintiffs law firm (pre admission). At the time of hiring and throughout my employment, I was constantly told I would get paid referral fees for all cases which I referred. I did get money for some but the partner was SO bitter that I left that he has not paid me for 5+ cases which I referred. Has anyone experienced this? What can I do? This man owes me a substantial amount of money.

Hi everyone. I’m new here but I think I’ll get a lot of really good feedback. I work in government procurement. I worked remote during the pandemic and now my manager cannot see his way to letting us work from home. Our department is the only one in the organization that is in the office all the time. It is really hurting morale and, personally, making me look for something different. What is everyone’s experience with old school management? Thank you!
Is anyone here working for Jarvis AI? Or does anyone know anything about them? Looking to join the company in a tech role, but would like to know more about it. Haven’t been able to see much online, other than the fact that copywriters don’t really like an AI copywriter😂

What are some reasons to decline a second interview? I recently interviewed for an Internal Audit role but I didn’t feel like the pay range matched the job. This IA role is for a small credit union and you’ll be the only IA. It’s a new role they came up with this year as different departments would have a a role at different audits. Their pay range is 65K - 75K DOE.
I have a job offer, Yay! It’s more money, which is great. But I have also been taking coding classes which I should be completed with by April. Does it make sense to accept the new offer knowing there is a chance I’ll be looking for a career change in 8 months? Any words of wisdom would be great. Thank you! (The new job is a relationship management assistant position at a bank)
Hey anyone here know of someone hiring in music publishing? I’m experienced, I went from interning to managing the whole department in a year and a half. Let me know!

I’m being promoted internally and have been told I’m getting the max salary increase the agency is offering (12%). I’ve been with this agency for nearly 3 years and haven’t received a raise (aside from cost of living adjustments) in nearly 3 years. I tried to negotiate a higher (15-20% raise) but was unsuccessful. I’m the sole PM on the largest account at the agency and continually hit our revenue numbers. Granted, no one got raises in 2020, but this feels like I’m being lowballed. Thoughts?

If you are applying for a b4 job in NYC, avoid EY. EY classfies NYC as lower tier than SF/SJ and par with LA and DC. Also Boston is classifed as MCOL in par with Philly and Baltimore.
