We did but it only applied to initial consults.
We do have one in ours but I’ve never enforced it (but never had to).
I haven’t, but have had similar thoughts recently. Probably because I had two no shows in a week.
We do not have a policy like this, but I completely understand where you’re coming from. We do have minimum billings for certain items in the fee agreement, like in office meetings, so I suppose if it became an issue I could use that as a fall back to charge to recoup some of the time wasted waiting for a no show client. Thus far it has not come up.
This is a new client with a pre-decree new filing. She want(s/ed) help with financials and refused to meet virtually.
We’re mountain time (eastern minus 2). So when she scheduled for 10:30 (I give everyone a 15 minute grace period) but when I went in at 10:45 to cancel, knowing Clio would text her, I was gonna tell her if she showed up that I had to move on at 11:45. Nothing work related, and I worked on other shit.
I’m just mostly upset that I coulda stayed home and watched USA v Iran on a television and had to stream it on a computer screen. First world problems really.
