"TCS has announced bands for all its associates as of 6th May ( associates above C3B will get it a week later), but hasn't announced any performance bands for associates servicing notice period.
They have simply done this to cut costs, and not pay them their hike, for whatever period they're gonna stay in TCS."
Tata Consultancy Fishes, what can we actually do to get this resolved and get the well deserved compensation? Can we approach legally or at the least internal escalation?

You mean since the pandemic hit or before then?

Sorry I misunderstood the question.
It’s a fair question. I am aware of some firms that pay associates a percentage of their collected fees, or a salary plus a collections-based bonus. I also am sure that many firms will adjust the standard for “satisfactory performance” to account for pandemic-related issues.
In response to examples you described, if I had an associate who achieved median-level profitability while working only 1,200 hours, I would tell him or her “Average performance doesn’t cut it. If you want to survive long term you need to excel in every area, including efficiency and collections, and that means working harder.” If his or her numbers didn’t improve I would for sure move on. On your 3rd year with a $150k book, I would want to know more, but if he or she was excellent at developing the kind of work we do I would for sure reward that on the basis that the highest and best use of his or her time was probably getting work instead of doing it. But he or she would still have to account for full time work - billable or productive nonbillable.
