Hi all! For an experienced hire as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, what should I expect the salary/sign-on bonus to be at a MCOL city? I have approx. 3.5 YOE (non-consulting), MBA and MS degree (non target school) and also SHRM certified (which is probably irrelevant for the role but thought I’d share anyways). Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!
Can I get some anecdotal FDD exit opps? I know it’s been asked before, hoping to get some more responses
Anyone ever exit to industry early in consulting and regret it? Have an offer on the table for ~30% raise. Only ~3 years in, work with great people but don’t really enjoy the work overall (cont)
Leaving EY, what all docs should I collect from immigration team apart from the approved petitions? I only have the latest I 140 approval notice, and not the previous one (my role had changed)
Thoughts on Dentsu Aegis? I've received an offer for a role (promotion) and thinking about whether it is a sound move - especially in this environment. They went through furloughs and pay cuts in April due to COVID. I'd be making the move from EY which is a great company to work with - but there is such a long line up to get a promotion, and for roles I've interviewed for internally I get the good ole - you were awesome and it was rly close, but someone was just a better fit.
I have the opportunity to move to a small boutique data science and data engineering consulting firm that would pay better with less hours. However, would it stunt my growth without a big 4 tag? It has more opportunities for technical growth and certifications but will push me into a more specialized role. I am mostly worried about the trade off between staying until Manager or upper senior and cashing out then. Does anyone have insight on how the two may differ in future career opportunities?
Recruiter from KF reached out for an Associate Principal role with ZS Associates. Said AP’s pull total comp of ~$1M. Glassdoor shows AP comp around 300k. Can anyone comment on validity? Don’t want to waste my time or theirs if the recruiter is just playing games. (Health Payer Digital / VBC)
Just got a lateral hire offer for a Sr Associate role with BCG. Contract states that I can go for Consultant promo in 12 months. I'm interpreting this as, if I don't make the promo threshold in 12 months, I'd be counseled out. Is this a reasonable assumption? Or would I get a few more months of time to work on feedback? I'm nervous - should I be? :(
Has anyone ever left consulting for a 1 year contract gig at FAANG? Does contract work typically turn into a full-time role?
Any partner working in Frankfurt, Germany interested in hiring non German speaking entry level consultants ?
Is moving from consulting to capital markets common? Will that limit my future exit opps?
Just got a job offer with significant raise and will be a change in job role😃. How should I go about talking with my current people manager about the move? I want to keep good relationship with this manager. I’m planning to apply to MBA this Fall (around Sept/Oct 2021) and will need recommendation letters, and would love to discuss with her NOW about writing me a recommendation letters around August (which is after I leave the company already). Very anxious about this move 😟
Anyone have any insight into Microsoft's hiring process? Best way to get your foot in the door? Background/drug checks?
I just started consulting and hate the type of work I’m doing. How can I switch to another role within the company?
Anyone have a mortgage broker referral in LA? Looking for preapproval and prefer to go through a broker.

Facebook has followed Google in making vaccination mandatory to work in person at the office. More companies will likely follow suit.
Been at my firm for about 1.5 years (straight from undergrad). Most of my work has been PMO stuff. I’m looking to exit into a more healthcare/HIM focused company. Suggestions?
How is westin resort at Cancun ? I received an offer from SPG for a discounted 5D/4N stay and trying to decide if I should book it. Thanks!

I will be moving to Montreal in couple of months from Boston. I already have a Scotia credit card with me. Should I start building my credit history by making some purchases here and there. Will it be helpful in any way when I land like rental agreements etc. Any other suggestions.
Looking at exits and know big tech is not the play anymore. What are the FAANG companies of 2030? What companies should people be exiting to now? Med device? AI? Cyber?
If you went to business school, would you count that in your YOE? For example, if you have 4 years experience pre MBA, 2 years in business school and then 3 years post MBA, would your YOE be 9 or 7?
What is the salary range of a 3rd year senior at Deloitte tech consulting like? I think you guys are paid much better!
Currently a Manager at KPMG Strat with MBA (6YOE) - wondering what L4/5 I should aim for at FB and Google. Thanks!
Is there an unspoken code that MBB doesn’t discuss salary? I feel like visibility into their whole comp package isn’t accessible at all
What’s your best first day of school lesson? Any cool icebreaker games? How do you start the year?
I found out this week during an exit interview that a senior male ex colleague had been regularly sexually inappropriate, physically and verbally for over a year to this individual.
In honor of National Voter Registration Day, The New Yorker released the transcript of a previously unpublished interview with James Baldwin, who gave a first-hand account of "Freedom Day 1963," a Black voter-registration drive in Selma, Alabama. Baldwin's descriptions from that day are so vivid and detailed that you can feel the fear and anger of the event. If you have a couple of minutes, I highly recommend you read it.
Anyone suddenly have to step up into a provider role in your early 20’s and have advice on how to deal with the added stress on your shoulders. Very intense on myself performance/ error wise and extra tough on my subordinates below me as I can’t have them be the reason I am at risk of losing my job. Context Dad passed 3 months ago and now my role is to step into my dad’s role providing financially for our 3 poor grandparents outside of the country.
I have 10+ years of experience Agency side, but looking to move Client side with remote work. I've applied for a number of roles either directly on Client sites or via LinkedIn, but haven't even received anything other than a straight rejection at the first stage. Wondering if anyone has experienced similar and overcome it/any tips. My resume has a number of large Agencies and global clients on it, with (IMO at least) some nice success stories, but wondering if I'm missing something obvious.
Posted yesterday about getting into a wreck. My insurance has determined that I was not at fault. So the other insurance will likely pay. Do I ask them to reimburse me for the cars diminished value ??
Hi everyone, Anyone from MBB or other consulting firms that wouldnt mind doing a practice case interview with me? I'm prepping for a first round of interviews and would like some feedback. I'd really appreciate it :) Thank you!
