Any first-generation immigrants here? What's your story? I have no one but my parent's selflessness to thank. They worked at gas stations and waited tables at buffets to build a life for us here. I can never, ever thank them enough for giving up 20 years of their life for me!

I’m an immigrant myself. Came here with $300 and some clothes. Worked minimum wage jobs to pay for living expenses while studying on debt.

I make $375k now and my son is a first generation American 🇺🇸

We live in the single greatest nation on earth

Yes! I really think that people have demonized America but, they haven't been to third world countries to see what true corruption is like

It’s amazing the length parents will go to ensure their children have the best life possible. Your story is inspiring and I can’t imagine how proud they are!

Love your story, Developer. Thank you for sharing. Legal immigrants are an asset to this great nation!

Thanks! ✊

I am an immigrant but I was lucky to have had financial support from my parents when I first came here (as a student) which of course wasn’t easy for them. I am very grateful to my parents and hope I will be able to bring them here one day and also that I can build a good life for my future children here.

Oh sweet, are you a professor? Research?

I just started dating someone (we've only had a few dates, taking it slow, haven't even kissed). Today is their birthday. Will be another week before we see each other again as both have kid responsibilities. Gift or no gift? I know where they work to have flowers sent, but is this necessary at this point (also, is it creepy at this stage)? I'm interested in the person, but obviously too soon to know whether I would want to date exclusively

Anyone else dread baby showers? I don’t want to go to my friends baby shower just because of the social aspect of it. Dreading the side conversations that I may have. I know it’s to focus in on my friends upcoming baby but I’d rather just do a 1:1 to catch up. What’s the best way to change your RSVP without lying and looking disrespectful?

My creative marketing agency, Codeword, is hiring account people! Senior Account Managers, an Account Director, and Account Managers. We work with tech clients like Google, Linktree, Qualcomm, and others. The agency has about 80 employees, but is owned by a much bigger parent company so the benefits are great! Most of the roles are based in NYC but we also have offices in San Francisco and Salt Lake City.

Message me if you have any questions and I can possibly refer you!

Like me, you have dated a million times and yet can’t seem to get it right. If you have ever wondered, whether in silence or out loud, “what’s wrong with me?”, this book is for you. I’ve heard a million times that communication is the key to a successful relationship. However, nobody taught me what effective communication is. How many conversations have I had in my head that lead to a conclusion without ever involving the other party? Countless! If this resonates, this book is for you.

I want to make a "friends compound". Myself and a couple friends (plus our spouses) go in on a large plot of land (like 60+ acres). We build houses for ourselves and all live in the same area. We hang out all the time, help each other out, raise our children all together, etc. Like a massive family with all my closest friends! Has anyone ever heard of this? Has anyone done this? Thoughts?

On a vacation with my long distance boyfriend for the first time. He hasn’t been feeling well so we’ve been spending a lot of time inside hotels. It’s honestly been making me so frustrated and sad. Travel is so important to me and part of being on this trip is making me think it won’t work.

Welcome to our pre-k inclusive classroom. Even with 8 students, and only face to face for 4 hours, we struggle. We struggle being heard through our masks. We struggle with social distancing. We struggle as we find ourselves constantly reminding students to keep their masks on. We struggle to keep them engaged and to teach. One thing we do not struggle with- building connections and showing out love for each child.
