I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. The recruiter said the next step is team match/interviews and then the HC. Anyone in a similar situation? What was the result? Google

Would love to hear about your gardening leave experience, especially in the event production sector, i.e. Gartner, Forrester, etc. I’m planning my resignation and I’m unsure if I should plan my next endeavor around it. I plan to continue my career in event production but as an in-house producer for a solution provider, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Idk why people don’t understand this. It gets asked 200x a day. You network and get a referral. It’s not that difficult
That’s all you need
Are you asking that your husband was at Deloitte and got his mba to join S&, and now wants to transfer to MBB?
1) I’m sure it happens frequently
2) he’s done so much consulting jumping, feel like if he wasn’t getting what he wanted at Deloitte, and still not what he wanted at S&, what makes him think he’ll get it at MBB? Prob going to be the question asked by interviewers/HMs because it seems like Consulting may not be his long term goal
Consulting is his long term goal. He was doing technology/operations at Deloitte and wanted to switch to MBB post b-school but unfortunately didn’t make the cut. His reasons for considering the switch is mostly due to cultural issues and wanting to be more of a generalist
Agree with everyone else. You can lateral from any firm to MBB. It’s not difficult to get an interview. You just need to network and turn that into a referral. If you’re not hungry enough to figure that out, then it’ll never happen, no matter what advice this community will provide.
If you’re looking to lateral to S& and then to MBB, you’re looking in the wrong place. S& is not a stepping stone and it feels like your husband wants MBB for the entirely wrong reasons.
He needs to figure out what he wants, why he wants it and then talk to people to make sure it’s a good fit. McK, BCG and Bain are entirely different firms culturally.
