Sorry for the multiple posts, but for me, ever since Korn ferry bought hay group (the people that do .org development) I cannot trust management with my compensation or my career development. That is why I left. Also, hay group does little org development work. It is more of an ancillary service as you will need to learn their job evaluation method first, which is incredibly subjective.

I have been at KF for a while and have had a great experience. It has been dynamic and changing and has absolutely had its challenges in integrating cultures. For me it has been a great experience and culture that has allowed me the freedom to do the kind of work I want without interference. I think Principal1 will have a better perspective being closer to joining and also more connected to your space of expertise. Every office of every company has a sub culture that can create an impact on the experience. The flexibility of the culture to allow me to engage in what interests me (and has commercial value for clients) has been enormously valuable to me.

I used to work there. Don’t do it. I’ve been at Mercer and WTW as well. I’m happy to talk about them all of you want.

Horrible culture. Everyone but the exec search people are second class citizens. All compensation decisions are discretionary. Most good people have left. Eventually it will be a stepping stone to get to a better firm.

I’m at Korn Ferry! I joined a year ago and I’m very happy. It’s certainly not without fault (no company is perfect), but after tenure at Deloitte, ACN, and industry, it is exactly what I’m looking for and a culture that I really love. I know our sr leaders personally and they are working hard to fix some of the dysfunction that WTW1 mentioned. (That said, WTW is great too - you should really explore every option when you’re making a move.) DM me if you’d like to chat more.
