Quick question - are online coding schools worth it? I’m thinking of a career change and I’ve thought about a coding Boot Camp but saw an online full stack developer course by mammoth interactive. Would I be wasting my time and money with something like this if I wanted to go into an industry as a coder? Or should I just go back to school?

I was scrolling through job postings online today and wanted to see what entry level positions were in my area. I feel like I shouldn't be as mad about this as I am, but I saw more than one job classified as entry level that required up to 10 years of experience and a four year degree... what!?

AVOID AGODA AT ALL COSTS. First they only had interview times 7pm to 3am, none during working hours. Then come interview time, I wait 3+ minutes in no one shows up and then I get an automatic email saying the interview has been canceled. I also then get an auto email saying they moved on but the recruiter emails a few minutes later saying they are trying to reschedule. A waste of my time and money preparing, putting on makeup, outfit and contacts, and skipping dinner.

Hi all! What are the differences between senior/staff SWE and software architects? Are architects still a thing? I'm causally searching for a new position and I've noticed staff and even some senior SWE roles sound like they have more leadership and architectural design responsibilities and focus on coding much less. Is this normal? I would definitely like to continue mentoring, but I also don't want to spend my entire day in meetings. 😕
