I’d wait at least 18 months

1.5 years - ballpark number

Don’t leave unless it’s a comparable or better consulting firm. Don’t leave to industry yet - you’ll get a quick pay day but your future earnings will be shot. Wait at least 1.5 years preferably 2 after the promo.
Pro
Yeah I thought conventional wisdom was to basically leave after every promo
Screw all these comments, leave as soon as you think you can get a better opportunity. I was trying to leave before DU. Ended up failing some interviews, and it took a year to get out, but it was a great move for me. I work with great people, learn a lot on things I care about and make twice the money.
Yeah you're right. That was an assumption for me when I was searching so I didn't think to list it out explicitly.
Left ACN after 12 months and a promo. Happier now for the much needed pay bump. Regret it in aspects of certain freedoms I had before that I don’t have now
Felt ACN was a little bit more laid back, no tracking & trading/restrictions of investments. The project I was in was also very flexible with work schedule.
There was a guy I worked with when I was at D, who left ~6 months in. Went to join the Army instead because he didn't feel like he was vibing with a boring office job.
Badass

I'm leaving my current firm (boutique firm in Brazil) to go for Oliver, before completing 1 year as an intern.
But since it's an internship, I suppose it's okayish to do it
Reposted from Deloitte Business Analysts bowl because no one fessed up there lmao
Nah, I see people who left perusing their ex-company bowl all the time
