For me it’s going pretty well. America is a very multicultural country and for the most part people are really kind. Don’t let the political environment scare you from dating who you want to date. I have dated white men, and black men. I would probably say the black men are more accommodating and very friendly. The average white guy wants to experiment with you but doesn’t necessarily want to make you a real part of their life. When I meet Asian people from other countries they tend to be only attracted to Asians. It’s very rare that an Asian from outside of the US want to date black men or Latino men. It seems that they think the gold standard is a white man. They will have a rude awakening while they are within that relationship because a white man wants to eliminate your culture and everything that has made you, you. In the beginning most of them are really nice, they want to experiment sexually and I have no problem with that because there are some really hot looking white guys out here. But after they date you for a while they’re more concerned about what their family thinks and what their friends think about them dating you versus being concerned that you are OK and treating you like you are the number one person in their life. Now let me say that not every white guy is like this, there are some very very sweet men available. Just reserve your judgment and take your time and make a good decision. Things will work out if you’re open minded and if you’re willing to look at other people versus only Asian or white men.
Hiding in the closet because it’s culturally shameful unless you’re in NYC or SF/LA

loooool it's not culturally shameful in any city in the US with over 100k population, and not culturally shameful in many cities below that

Like to your parents? Houston here and plenty of gay asian males freely hangout.
Seconding this! I have a really big network of gay Asian friends!
It’s ok. Not great but happy to be out.
I’ve only lived in NYC and SF. it’s decent
Not gay but my gay friends are doing a lot better than me in the dating scene
