Any good beginner level resources to learn about keto?

I’d only recommend a keto diet plan if you have a history of seizures. It’s not necessary if you happen to be looking for weight loss.


Here’s a beginner level intro: unless you’ve talked with your doctor, have insulin resistance, or a seizure disorder - I really have to say it probably isn’t worth it. If you want to lose weight simple caloric restriction will do the trick and you’ll ensure your body is getting all the nutrients you need + it will be more sustainable long term.

I’m also saying this as someone who looked heavily into this!

I like Keto connect podcast. Listen to the older episodes.
Also it’s pretty straightforward. Mostly eat green veggies and meat. If you want something sweet have stevia sweetened drinks or flourless dessert.

I lost a bunch of weight on keto and although I’m no longer doing it, it permanently changed my bad carb habits

Female 5'9 and 271lbs (that's a whooping 123kg for those of us who use metric system). The rain started beating me in 2016 when I took a desk job and started drinking more. As of January this year, I have stopped drinking, I am eating healthier, trying to move a little yet, sleep at the very lowest 4hrs.. My weight is stagnant... Also, my Thyroid function is good. I know you are not doctors but, why is it that I am not loosing weight? What could be the problem.. What can I do better?

Been a life time fitness member for years .. went in today for a re assessment of my fitness goals and some suggestions.. the trainer wants to put me on a weekly touch point at $120 an hour ( 480 for first month) .. I think it is too steep .. time to move on to orange theory or similar ?
