This is related to TCS Kolkata only. Need very specific information. I am supposed to collect my ID card from TCS Delta Park- Lords office (in Sec-V Salt Lake). My base location is Gitanjali Park, and project deputes location is Infospace (Candor). In card collection mail it was told to ask HR for approval regarding entry from main gate entry. My father is an accredited investor and invests in private companies. I said I’d give him $50k for one of the investments but technically it’s all in his name. 3x return. Any way to touch that money without double taxation (expecting to pay his highest tax bracket on the returns since shorter than 1 year and then gift tax above $30k)? Thinking about asking him to put it in a separate bank account in his name linked to my credit card - but still likely too much money to burn through.
Are the big 4 firms still requiring vaccines to work/travel/attend events? Curious about MM firms too.

Left for industry a couple of months ago, with a decent TC of $400k. I thought this TC combined with great WLB is all I need to be happy.
Turns out, I am really bored. Lack of travel, and in person meetings coupled with not so interesting problems, is frustrating me.
What do you all do to keep things exciting on a weekly basis? For context, I am married with 1 toddler, so going out and partying until late is not an option.

Is there any sort of job that would allow an employee to fly all over the country on business for their company? Looking for roles that allow me to do that and travel! I’m mid-20s and few years work experience. Tired of the boring and slow as molasses work environment at the bank. TIA!
I am meeting my mom for the first time after 3 years post pandemic and going to pick her up from SFO airport. Her flight lands around 6 am PST. This is my first time where I will be driving from Sunnyvale to SFO airport and back (30 miles each) and want to avoid FasTrak/Express lanes as I don't want to pay so much money. 1. Does the Google maps 'Avoid tolls' option work in this case? 2. Any tips/tricks on driving such long distances? 3. What documents should I carry with me?
Leaders, Could you share your thoughts, that you are willing and able to share, regarding:

3. What are the views of your teams re: willingness / eagerness to travel?
Did the United challenge. Says it will take 5 biz days to clear. Anyone done the challenge and did it take more or less than 5 days. Have a family trip coming up. Fingers crossed it clears before =)

Is it unethical as realtors working in an office to block chunks of time off for personal reasons? Some of my coworkers stay in their desks for up to 10 hours, but I've taken up the habit of blocking at least 1 hour daily for lunch, breaks, and other issues that may arise. Do you do this as well or do you prefer to work straight through your day?
I’m an analyst at a small(ish) REPE firm. We’re looking to unroll a pretty comprehensive Multifamily strategy and I’m tasked with hammering it out internally. Part of this is choosing a RE consulting firm to engage. We’re looking for people to gather a lot of data on various markets and create various economic reports. Also other data as needed to make a slide deck. Anybody have recommendations/personal experience at a consulting firm with Multifamily practice?
I am currently a Technology Analyst in Finance looking to break into Mbb consulting . Are there any senior / senior associate consultants here that will be able to speak to about my experience to determine if I’d be a right fit?

What happened to BCG’s expense policy today?
I'm thinking about switching districts and grade levels after over a decade. I'm feeling stale and wonder if a move will be good. The new position would require summer trainings for the next few years to teach high school AP classes, but hopefully be more rewarding. I'm still anxious. New school, no professional status... What would you do?
Halfway through my first CAT test and I can’t do the data sufficiency at all - the questions are so hard. I don’t feel like this is something I’ll be able to be good at.. is this normal or should I take the GRE instead?

Well ladies today I turn 30 I keep getting emotional not because I’m getting older but I’m just so grateful for people and experiences I had in my 20s. I’m also someone who stressed a lot about work and my career in my 20s. Now I still want to do a good job, but I don’t care as much. Did you have any realization when you hit 30? :)
Ladies, have a beach trip planned in August and realized my period is scheduled for that week. I’ve tried skipping the week of sugar pills before and going straight to the next pack, but that resulted in a week of spotting. Could I stop taking BC for a few weeks (not sexually active), and then start it up again right when I’m headed to the beach?
Is anyone here on an FWA? I discussed with my counselor and HR, but they are discouraging. Background, I’m a senior, married with 2 kids. I started in PA late after a career change from non-profits
Edit: What is the best way to tell a PM or a PEP that this project isn't for you, and that it doesn't align with your career goals without getting kicked off too soon to negatively impact your utilization? The project is ABSOLUTELY horrendous and a mess. It is glorified admin work which is not what I want to do. Is there a way to tell that to senior management without getting a negative reaction?

My extended family (grandparents/aunts/uncles) are back in my home country, Australia, but my boyfriend has a huge family so the wedding will consists of 75% his family (and our friends). Is it normal for a bride to expect a “thank you” gift for asking you to be MOH? In addition to bridal shower, bachelorette, and wedding gifts?
Does anyone else worry they are coming off as a b*tch to male subordinates when being direct with them? I know I shouldn’t worry about this because if I was a male.. it would never be interpreted that way. I don’t want to be viewed as bossy but I’m starting to lose patience after having to repeat the same thing several times.

Hi all, so I left RSM recently and have debating on whether I want to try a small regional cpa firm or go into industry. I have a small toddler and want to know where I would most likely have better work life balance/ flexibility?
The Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling). It’s a fictional crime series. Three books are currently out, all of them are amazing.
The Circle - Dave Eggers. Not so distant future novel with some underlying relevancy to today’s society and how we rely on technology at the loss of privacy. I may make it sound nerdy but it has a very catchy story to it but still makes you think about your surroundings today. There’s also a movie with Emma Watson in it, but please read the book first; the movie cuts so much out and ruins the book’s major secret.
Girl Wash your Face. Be in a good place mentally when reading it. I tried reading it during busy season and it just stressed me out and made me feel incompetent to her life. I re-started yesterday and am more than halfway done. I think every chapter is a different part of where you might be also. It wasn’t until like page 60 I really was into it
I second this! I just started Girl Stop Apologizing!
Educated was really good!
Becoming by Michelle Obama :)
The Devotion of Suspect X. I always feel sad that Americans generally do not read Japanese literature. This one is mind blowing. I had to close the book near the end for a bit before I could keep reading.
The Book Thief is my all-time favorite book. If you want light, cute stories, The Blue Castle and Flipped are pretty fun.
Nonfiction - for vacation, I really enjoy Carrie Fisher’s memoirs. Not great works of literature by any means, but she’s hilarious and I’ve laughed out loud plenty of times.
