Sometimes I feel really dumb 😔
There are countless websites and portals dedicated to matching volunteers with suitable opportunities. It’s usually a simple case of registering as a volunteer and searching for opportunities using certain keywords (e.g. UX/UI design, web design, research) and location criteria.
Here’s a round-up of the best websites for UX volunteering opportunities.

The Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling). It’s a fictional crime series. Three books are currently out, all of them are amazing.
The Circle - Dave Eggers. Not so distant future novel with some underlying relevancy to today’s society and how we rely on technology at the loss of privacy. I may make it sound nerdy but it has a very catchy story to it but still makes you think about your surroundings today. There’s also a movie with Emma Watson in it, but please read the book first; the movie cuts so much out and ruins the book’s major secret.
Girl Wash your Face. Be in a good place mentally when reading it. I tried reading it during busy season and it just stressed me out and made me feel incompetent to her life. I re-started yesterday and am more than halfway done. I think every chapter is a different part of where you might be also. It wasn’t until like page 60 I really was into it
I second this! I just started Girl Stop Apologizing!
Also, "educated”
Educated was really good!
Becoming by Michelle Obama :)
The Devotion of Suspect X. I always feel sad that Americans generally do not read Japanese literature. This one is mind blowing. I had to close the book near the end for a bit before I could keep reading.
The Book Thief is my all-time favorite book. If you want light, cute stories, The Blue Castle and Flipped are pretty fun.
Nonfiction - for vacation, I really enjoy Carrie Fisher’s memoirs. Not great works of literature by any means, but she’s hilarious and I’ve laughed out loud plenty of times.

The way of the kings. Storm light series. Super nerdy fiction but it’s fantastic
