Any good design shops that hire remote?

Is anybody else job searching at the moment and struggling to land offers for quality marketing jobs (good pay, decent WLB, etc.) or is it only me?

I’m a noogler with a $1000 wfh stipend burning a hole in my pocket. itching for a 4K monitor and/or apple air pods max since I’m in a noisy area. Am I being reasonable? Or am I crazy?

What consulting companies allow remote work abroad for extended period of time!?

Who has it harder managers trying to train new employees in a remote environment or employees starting in a new remote environment?

This is really random but does anyone else have a dog that is always moving their bed around and throwing pillows off of furniture? Before I started wfh, I used to always think my dog couldn’t really be dragging her bed across the room, but now I catch her doing it when she thinks I’m not looking. I say “no” when I catch her but she grumbles like leave me alone and continues to move it lol.

I have 2+ years experience in Power BI, SQL, SQL and Tableau(Learning), can somebody help me with reference if you find any openings in Your current organization.

My manager has prepared a roster for BTO with 2 days a week, different for each team member.
Is it fair enough if i request him to provide me WFO continuously for 2 weeks and rest 2 weeks WFH?
I have some family responsibilities and my hometown is far from anchor point.

I’m heading into a final interview next week. The role I’m applying to works directly with two executive team members and the CEO (the only hybrid employees). I currently work in a fully remote company and already have two trips planned for later this year where it’s too long to ask for PTO in its entirety because I was planning to work/PTO combo. Any tips or recommendations how I can lay out a plan without asking for a LOA and adversely affect the team and work remotely when starting the role?

Relocation to Bengaluru or any other location in hybrid model is a scam, you will see all other locals, nearby hometown people are taking leaves, managing their work from home, taking sick leaves frequently to avoid office traffic.
But, you will ended up paying high-cost in low-end PG, searching for flat rent which will cost you your entire savings.

Hey folks, in need of help after doing online research. Joined a new firm ($107k salary). I currently maxed my $6k in Roth IRA. Figuring out HSA. And contributed up to employer match in 401k. My employer gives options of traditional and Roth 401k. I also have personal brokerage. Where should my money go next? Should I put more into 401k or try to do mega backdoor into Roth IRA? What sorts of SQL questions are typically asked in interview questions for senior data analysis jobs? Like is knowing SQL from freecodecamp enough or should I look into taking a course online?

Do they have any additional value (apart of gaining new knowledge)? in recruitment process, for example?

I’ve been having the worst experiences with my interview 2nd and 3rd round for the various companies I’ve attempted to work for and with, the position are typically motion graphics/graphic design, 3D generalist, illustrator, and a few art director positions.

I'm interviewing for Sr Product Design positions & each interview is 30 minutes to share 2 case studies. With only 12 min/case study (I eat up some time introducing myself & setting up the work), does anyone have advice on what to make sure I show? It's so hard to hit all the points they I'm trying to hit: problem definition through user research, wireframes, design exploration, usability tests, prototypes, final designs, red lines, engineering handoff, KPIs. Any advice or examples?

How do you improve your UX skills?

I want to create a data visualization portfolio, but I’m not sure where to begin. I work in urban planning and wanna do more urban analytics kind of stuff. Does anyone have any pointers for me as to where to begin and what all different types of visualizations I should be aiming to include? I’ve used R and Excel for this so far. I’ve done some web mapping using JS as well and use illustrator for my visualizations as well. Thanks!

Hello fellow UX-ers. I recently interviewed for a role and one of the interviewers on the panel asked me if I've done any projects other than for my current company. I work for a large consultancy and 1. I don't have time for freelance or pet projects 2. Even if I did them, I could seriously be in trouble with my current company. Has anyone experienced this kind of question before? What was your answer?

I do design work on the side and haven’t re-evaluated my rate in awhile. I have about 4 years experience now and some great projects under my belt.
