not funny at all. Not sure if you are one of them but the pain and agony and uncertainty that these folks go through is not a joke. The economy is thriving becoz this country has folks on visa to fill up jobs that citizens can’t fill. So have some compassion. I have first hand seen families leaving this country in a week as their visa got rejected. It’s not fun.

OP: what I see is that opportunities is narrowing down a lot given the circumstances. But there are companies’ who are hiring. As MCK1 said - FAANG and other companies in industry.

Hola a todos. Here comes a moon shot: I am looking to host an au pair but both wife and I are still not US Permanent Residents and we can’t go through the official program. Anyone has a friend/ relative Spanish speaker that would like to come for as long as their Visa allows? I have a full room with own bathroom for the nanny and live close to NYC (New Jersey suburbs). I can give more details on private but flight + good salary is guaranteed

My wife is on L2 visa, waiting for USCIS to change the I 94 so she can work. In the meantime, can she start a job with a company in India, travel to US on L2, and continue to work remotely? She will start her US job as soon as her I94 change comes through or EAD is approved. What if any are the legal ramifications of working for a foreign company while on L2?

If you were to be staffed on a long haul project in the US (while officially employed by a foreign office), would you need to get a specific work visa authorization as a foreign citizen (or normal tourist / business visas such as B1/B2 are sufficient?). Also, would there be any tax implications although technically not resident in the US / salaries would be paid out outside of the US?

26M making $155k base and about $185k TC at a large payments firm (Visa, MC, AmEx). I’m also 1 year away from promo which will probably get me to $210-220k TC. Do you think I still need an MBA? A lot of senior leaders in my team have 1 so I’m really not sure at this point. The opportunity costs are high, but I’m well aware of the long term benefits. I’ve also already taken the GMAT and gotten a 740. I’m an Asian male and find the hurdles that we go through for admissions a turn off as well.

Hello, I am 36 and have over 250k in savings. I started saving late (at 32) as I didn’t make much and lived in NYC. I used to be on a visa and had little to say on my salary negotiations. Upon getting my green card, my salary doubled when I changed jobs and I started saving extensively. Today I make around 180k a year and am able to save $4.5k a month and 7% towards 401k. I have no kids and I am looking to maximize savings. Any advice? Thanks!

I’m looking for an opportunity in either Berlin, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, or London. Since my current responsibilities are Customer Service Ops and service/product improvement, ideal role would be Customer Experience related jobs. Personally, I’m eager to pivot my career and explore product management as well. I’m married to a person from Scandinavia, so I may be able to prepare for work visa by my own. If you have any recommendations or referrals, please reach me out! Thanks a million in advance!

Further she also has comments against my SO being too involved parent & calling out son as cutie, hugging toddler etc as he is a boy. Contd..
