Anyone have a recommended tax person in Chicago?
Hello!
I recently got an offer for a GPS Business Analyst position at Deloitte but the location is not my top choice. I briefly brought this up to the recruiter and was told that I can discuss that once/if I got the offer. Now that I have it, would it be best to bring up a possible office transfer now (before I even start) or after I’v started?
Thanks!

Do training with them -- engagement letters, how to do a hand markup, how to do schedules, how to do a diligence memo, what makes a rep buyer friendly v. seller friendly, mat scrapes/knowledge qualifiers, public v. private deal differences, what is in a S-8, do a short M&A negotiation across an afternoon, data room best practices, what makes a good junior, redlining etiquette, defined terms/x-ref checks, DGCL that affects M&A most directly.
Have senior partners fo a preso on "war stories or lessons learned"
Have midlevels and seniors do a panel on "day in the life" and how their roles changed as they got more senior.
Have partners do a "best practices in negotiations" preso
Teach them about good resources--PLC, ABA Dealpoints survey, ABA model puchase agmts, LW book of jargon, Intelligize.
If you need any deal metrics, have them review deals your group has done and chart or summarize for marketing purposes.
I realize not all of this is sexy, but you can do one training a week, with mock assignments, and these are real skills juniors need.

Have them take the first stab on any documents that aren’t time sensitive and then go over the redline with them when you have time

You just don’t see them because you have to hyperfocus on all the (supposedly) urgent ones
