Before being interviewed, was asked for the base package and expected, (12 fixed, yoe 3.10), i just asked for a 30-40% hike on that.

Gave the technical interview, had a call for the HR round, where they said we cant even match your base, whats the point of having the interview even then?

I have revoked my paper in August with salary increase meeting my expectation but now I am not happy about the decision. shall I start searching for new job.

I really feel like I’ve been dealt a really bad hand in my life. It feels like no one gives me a chance. Whether it’s a job I know I’m qualified for, or someone I’m interested in. Even things that appear to be good at first end up sucking. I know I should be grateful for what I have and that so many others are less fortunate. But I still can’t help but think that for a person in my position, given the opportunities that I was given, I am just a complete failure and nowhere near what I could be.

Hey! Has anyone else noticed how Facebook and a Instagram have updated the way we can boost posts? Before I would go into meta on a desktop and boost my Facebook post and was able to have it directed to both Facebook and Instagram. Now it does not let me boost it to Instagram. Also, with Instagram I boosted also through Meta business suite on a desktop and didn’t have to choose any “goals” just boosted for engagement. Now my ONLY options are website visits, profile visits or to get more messages

As an accounting major does it look bad to not have a cpa... really struggling. Mainly cause my heart just isn’t in it. I want to risk consulting or it assurance and potentially work towards my cisa. ‼️DATING SOMEONE IN COMPETING FIRM‼️Anyone have any experience dating someone that works at a competitor ? I’m a new hire and I’ve been reading the policies and it seems really strict. For ex:

(1) can a person at MasterCard date someone working for a competitor (AmEx) or merchant partner (any company that accepts MasterCard ex: Google) ?

And (2) If they CAN date, does this need to be reported to their leader and HR, etc ? (Most people don’t want their company knowing about their personal life)
