This past year I’ve been feeling especially burnt out. Briefs are taking longer to click and it’s a struggle to come up with creative ideas. Even when I come back from a few days off, I find myself unable to focus on even the smallest project. I’ve thought about switching agencies or go in-house in hopes that new clients will get me excited and eager to work, but worried I’ll find myself in the same boat. The need to pay bills seems to be the only thing keeping me going. Any advice??? Plzzz

I have 5.11 yearsof experience in Java backend development and getting around 15.5 LPA(incl variable pay) now. Though i felt i am paid good when i joined last year, i feel i am underpaid now. How much can i expect when i make a jump?

I need some help. I'm struggling immensely to cope right now and have been for a while. I'm talking about breakdowns and crying every day. We are very leanly staffed and I have a principle role in many transactions as sole associate which makes it more challenging, to both cope and take space.

Recent lateral junior associate in brand new practice where I'm the only associate. I'm probably going to bill 1,500 hours max this year due to being very slow and taking time off for a delayed honeymoon which I disclosed during my interview process. I have been told my work product is good, I don't turn anything down, I participate in non-billable work, I'm responsive and I always let people know I'm available to help. Do I need to be worried about getting fired for low hours?

I am so thankful for my husband. We’ve had a rough year. But when he just pulled up his calendar app, I peeked the “therapy” recurring event for every Tuesday coming up.

It took a really long time to nudge and ask and plead and toss everything short of an ultimatum at him to start this work on his personal and emotional development.

There were times I wasn’t sure anything would change, and I worried maybe I was just wasting time… but he’s still proving he’s the right one :)
