I experienced the hardest orgasm I'd had in months in my hotel room during annual training. It was probably the most intimate experience of my entire life. My right hand was sore for hours.

There was a couple who hooked up at new hire training at the Q center. He also somehow got in a fight and showed up with a black eye one day. Got canned as soon as he went back to the local office but they stayed together and now have a kid.

Q

What is the Q Center? I've heard so much about it on fb but have no idea what it is.

It's tough, but manageable.

I'll be moving to Dallas for work this summer. I've been looking into housing options within walking distance from my job in downtown (wanna minimize driving as much as possible). Most of the places I've seen within my budget seem to have really mixed reviews. I don't need anything big or fancy--just needs to be safe and clean. Any insight on these places (or any other recs) would be great:

If associates at my firm are 150-200k range and junior partners at my firm are in the 250k range (mid law, less hours 1800, lower rates 250-650), how much do you think the 45 or so equity partners make a year? We have about 150 lawyers 80 ish million top line in revenue in 2021. I just want to know what the prize for sticking around here a decade to make equity would be. I am afraid to ask but I think I heard someone say 300k-1m dollars once a couple years ago. Thanks all!

Went from a big firm to work for a smaller firm. The people in the smaller firm are protective of their work and are good by their work too. I no longer feel chaos or stress. I am treated with respect and my schedule is more normal. I am even working more billable hours than before, but it feels like a seamless experience. I don’t work then past 5pm or anything out of the ordinary for this time of the year. I am so grateful!

I’ve had three interviews for an internal position over a period of about 6 weeks The last was over a week ago. And I can’t get the HR rep to even return an email or a TEAMS chat as to a ballpark when a decision may be made. VERY frustrating. Even just a “we will be making a decision soon”. Or whatever would be nice. I feel disrespected.

Firms should really start lowering the mandatory retirement age in partnership agreements before these old out of touch partners drive the entire industry into the ground. These people legitimately think the high turnover we’re experiencing is caused by remote work and people “not feeling close” rather than insane hours and compensation 🤦🏼‍♀️.
