Moms, during what point in your pregnancy did you stop traveling for work? I’m currently pregnant and traveling for work.
Does EY pay 100% for maternity leave 4 weeks before baby is due? I know they do 16 weeks post delivery but CA state law allows you to take 4 before due date. Anyone able to get it approved and paid?
On behalf of a friend- Question is that his father has a business in hometown which is facing problems due to manpower and my friend is a CA himelf and is currently doing a job in fortune 500 company. Should he continue his job or get involved into the business. Some deep insights required from some seniors who could help my freind.
Please help me decide whether I should escalate this or not: 27 weeks today, baby is moving like CRAZY suddenly. I’ve had some feisty movements, usually at night, but this is on another level and very extreme compared to before or even just yesterday. My first pregnancy, so how do I know if this is fetal distress or normal?! Google isn’t clarifying much. My next ultrasound/glucose screen is next Tuesday. TIA.
Has anyone changed jobs between kids and still received full maternity leave from their new company? I feel like I’m stuck at my consulting firm (big 4) until I’m done having kids since I want a decent maternity leave. I’m pregnant with my second but want three kids so it’ll be at least another few years before I can jump ship :(
Started with a new law firm in a new practice area in the fall. Now I’m pregnant with my second child and due this summer. The firm offers up to 4 months of leave. I can’t think of a good reason why I would shorten my leave despite being relatively new at the firm and in the practice area. I’m honestly concerned I will resent it if I do. Would you shorten your leave under these circumstances? If so, why?
Yeah, my parent's marriage stressing me out!
Any recommendations for child behavioral therapists in NYC? I got quotes $3,500 (this doctor doesn’t take insurance, and has a 6 month waiting list).
Rant: Told my mom yesterday not to play with the baby at the diaper changing table. The baby is crying, mom is usually in the way loudly trying to pacify the baby while me or hubby are trying to change the diaper. She took this to mean we weren't appreciative of her help.. Blah.. Blah.. She didn't talk to me all evening yesterday and is still not talking to my husband. Obviously hubby is super irritated and the whole home atmosphere is ruined. Rant over...
I have 2 offers in hand 1 from tcs of 15 LPA and another from Optum of 18 LPA. Point is i have a small 8 month old kid. Due to this, i need a job which will be less hectic so that i can take care of her( i dont want to leave her to maid). So which will be a better option fr me.
Any suggestions for a weekday mother daughter girls day? (I’m the daughter, 26 yo for reference.) we have a car and are open to an adventure day like kayaking (would love activity/location recs) or pampering (shopping, spa type - again would love recs). Ideally within 1 hr driving distance
I’m a graduate soon to be starting new corporate job. What’s the expectation of hours spent in office now? This is my first job so I’m not sure if they will require me on site 5 days a week or adopt a hybrid strategy.
Hi, does anyone know when an employee becomes eligible for maternity/paternity leave at either Gilead, BMS, or Merck? For NVS, it’s day 1 of employment but not sure if that’s common within the industry.
Did you ever sell lemonade as a kid out here in Austin? My young ones want to make some money, and I thought about helping them with a lemonade stand like my folks used to but things aren't like how they used to be back in the day.
Read on here that lots of parents don’t wake their babies for feedings. My baby is a little over 1 month and is steady gaining weight (formula) and I decided to not wake him for night feedings. He usually wakes up around the 4-5 hour mark. Question... is it okay to let him go past 6 hours? Anyone else did/ do this with their baby?
My current employer is giving me letting me consume all the leaves. I am forced to do work.
I have 1 month remaining in lwd. I have good offer in hand.
What should I do?
Should I go in one whole week leave saying my mother had heart attack or anything like that?
Will it affect myreleving letter? Will it affect my LWD? I am a SSE having 8.5 yoe.
SNOO mamas... A friend is lending me theirs for my nb. This thing scares the daylights out of me, rocking back and forth all the time, esp when it gets to stage three of fussy. But everything I've read online is positive and suggests snoo is likely safer than a traditional flatbed due to the wings, which I do like.
When you use your snoo, do you leave it on all night? Worry about too much movement? Any tips/tricks? Do you put baby in pjs or just the snoo swaddle. Thanks for any feedback 😳
EY 🐠 - potentially starting with the firm soon, and my partner is due to have our first in April. Given the 1 year service requirement for leave, would I have the option to take PTO during birth and use parental leave after my 1 year of service? Appreciate any guidance here
Recently received an offer from epam systems india, I have gone through the leave policy and no where it is mentioned about maternity leaves. Can anyone who is working there please let me know if the maternity leave can be availed normally as per indiabenefits. Thanks.
Have any mommas that are expecting here requested pregnancy accommodation? I’m worried the stress on my current project is affecting my baby. What about taking short term disability for pregnancy related health issues like extreme nausea?
Anyone take i side with test online? I'm having trouble coming to terms with my results. Thought I would prefer Hillary over Trump, but only got 9% Hillary vs 59% Trump (matched closest with Johnson)
Did any of you foreign lawyers go to work from home? How do you deal with the time difference?
I just got laid off about a month ago. It was the biggest blessing because the place was severely dysfunctional. I’ve been in tech for over 12 years and I was told how standard practices were wrong by my colleagues. I’ve been interviewing like crazy and I am getting traction with all of the FAANG companies. These are my dream jobs and I feel like I am getting close to receiving offers soon. They say success comes to those who have something to prove, and I have a LOT to prove to the haters!!
Have an interview with Indeed coming up for a Product Manager position. Would love to get some insight on what to expect and prepare for. I have my first HM round scheduled.
I’ve been at my job for almost a year. I know they’re planning on giving me a promotion, and I’m assuming I get a raise/renegotiate my salary. I’m making 60k currently, what should I ask for? I was thinking 66-70k
What's the best piece of advice, regarding the world of copywriting, that you've ever received?

Any 🐠 in NYC up for a meet up? I've been meaning to go to this mini golf place. Open to other ideas as well.
Nailed an interview recently and was informed that I was the top candidate but the role is on hold for two weeks so they can review things and then they will present me with an offer letter. Is that a bad sign? It’s for large tech company if that helps. Thanks!!!
Bold Fashioned 👍🏽👍🏽
Acuvon Consulting is offering me Junior Associate in Noida Location. Is it a good company to join and what should the package I should be asking them?

Hey I’m currently an engineer at a nuclear power plant, I’ve only been there about 6 months, but I recently got an offer for a production shift supervisor at a chemical plant. My question is basically would this be more valuable experience than my current position. Any other pros and cons would be helpful too. Thanks
I thought I really wanted to be a chemical engineer but the reality of the day to day has been disappointing to say the least… is this a common sentiment for a first job? Do I just have to keep going to get somewhere interesting?

I've noticed that my coworkers tend to work more on their own than with others, even when they're all in the office. Is this normal? I have my dream job interview. I have 6 days practicing for the interview, and I have written possible questions, regular questions and very crazy questions. Despite all that, I don't feel prepared, and my stress is brutal. Any advice?
