My dad is in his 50’s and shared his resume with me and he kept it to 1 page cause he thought that was the rule. I told him I think that 30+ years of experience warrants 2, so he went with that and it was a much better resume after.
10 years 1 page I guess
I’ve always been told to keep it to one page, but I have a 3-4 page resume that no interviewer has ever said anything bad about. Curious what others say.
5-6 YOE. I should’ve added that this is my personal resume I use to send to other companies whenever I’m looking for a new job. My internal company resume is a one pager.
<=SC,1 pg, M+ 1-2 pages. No hard/steady rules imo.
If we let N represent the number of pages in a resume following typical guidelines and X be the numbers of years of experience of the resume writer, then we get:
N = 1 + (0 x X)
But if you want the job I suggest not always following the guidelines, except sometimes it is good to follow the guidelines. So always follow the guidelines unless it is a case where maybe you should not. Make sense?
So... 1? 😅
Two pages max. I keep a one page version for when that is needed.
I have a two page version and a 5pg CV with publications and more detail. 15yrs experience, PhD.
1 page. Any more and the cool places won't hire you.
I'm at 10 years, 2 pages :(
