I’m hoping to eventually work at Google in their Business Operations and Strategy division, but most of my experience (BDM, PM, int’l ADM) is for local startups and my BA is in Biblical Literature. It seems like consulting groups like Boston Consulting Group are considered pools for hiring potential Google candidates. Does anyone know if they help pay for schooling or if there are any other companies I could work remotely at on the East Cost that would help with this trajectory?
Any tips for PwC case study interview?
I was curious to classify this group's audience.

How do you guys manage a full time job and look for jobs outside? My work hours are crazy and I’m so exhausted by the time I’m done with my day.
Got laid off s couple years ago. Was told we’d lost an account so the money to pay me with wasn’t there any more. Three others were also laid off the same day. Agency was also full of mean, petty...

Email etiquette question here: If you and your manager on interacting with an investor in an email thread and you send your manager an response draft to review and he does not respond and so the email never gets sent to the investor, whose fault is it? The way I see it, the ball was in his court. Is it really my job to remind people to respond to their emails? That’s another job onto itself.
How do you keep track of your time when you go solo? Making the transition soon and I'm wondering if I should invest in any specific software.

I'm an engineer and I've been doing this job for 5 years now. One thing that has always bothered me is how little my friends just don't understand engineering. They think you're a button-pusher all day, but that couldn't be further from the truth. It's the most creative field out there!
I have no desire to advance to Creative Director and it makes me feel bad about myself. It comes across as if I don’t have ambition or drive to advance my career.

Saw this and thought it was a pretty good explanation for company culture: Culture is not what you write down. It's what people tell their friends who ask what it's like to work there. It's what people compare to when they get pings from recruiters. It's how people feel when they log on and off for the day.
Looking to connect with someone that may be able to help me assess the current state of my career, trajectory, best fit, etc.

Hi! I am (likely) getting an offer at an 10ish year old company in growth mode to head up their recruiting division, but they have no comp structure (and it's hard to get data on my own function in the industry!) Any suggestions on how to ensure I am not doing the job of a manager or director without the pay rate to boot!? I've been doing this long enough it's an art.

One of my current coaching clients told me “I have to interview for my job.” It’s not the first time I’ve heard of this happening in a re-org. But please, HR folks, help me understand: Why this is a good idea? It seems incredibly anxiety-provoking for the employees. What’s the business rationale for this? And what does it do to employee morale?
