Any help or knowledge on international wire transfers is appreciated:
My husband and I live in US. Husband has a foreign currency account in Barclays UK in USD denomination. He wire transferred $10,000 from his UK account to an account in US. He received $20 less ($9,980) and was charged an additional incoming wire transfer fee of $15 by the receiving bank
The $15 incoming wire fee makes sense but neither of the banks (Barclays UK or the bank in US) are able to tell us where did the $20 get lost

there is a fee charged by both the banks

That’s strange… I’d bet the sending bank charged the amount, I’d would appear on the wire draft

I've completed the final rounds for 2 companies: AWS as an L7 Principal PMT and another that's a Series-A funded startup in the HCM space. I expect offers from both: AWS around $400k TC ($250k base + $150k stock) and the startup should be around $300k TC ($250k base + 20% bonus). If comp wasn't the ONLY consideration, what would you do? The AWS role will be an IC role and more hands-on/technical. The startup will be a CPO role reporting to the CEO with a team of about 50 devs+PMs.

As for me, I was heavy on compliance until recent and wanted to focus on getting planning experience and management skills forward. I am a CPA and an attorney, but not a JD.

Ok. I know that social media has made a lot of AAVE slang popular. I get that. What I find cringe is the obsession with using it 24/7 and the assumption that adding "lit" or "that's cap" or "slay" to things will make them do numbers. Someone in a meeting this morning suggested we use bffr and said it means "best friend for real." Like at least research the term before you try to use it.

Is there an easy/efficient way to figure out how much you've contributed to vs earned in your Roth accounts? I started contributing >20 years ago to my employer's Roth 401k and have rolled it over to a Roth IRA and moved it between multiple custodians, e.g. Fidelity, Vanguard, UBS, Personal Capital, etc. It is unclear to me how much I contributed vs how much I earned by investing it.

The purpose of doing this is I want to use $10K of it, but want to prove that the $10K is from my contribution.

I'm not seeing many options for her besides to continue pmts, fixing just enough to drive or voluntary repo. Thoughts?
