When you say nasal aspirator, do you mean the bulb that you squeeze? They aren’t great. If you haven’t tried the nose freida, buy it now. It’s absolutely amazing.

Boil eucalyptus and let them inhale the vapors

Toxic to infants if they absorb or ingest any oil tho.

Frida baby

Unfortunately there’s not a process that will make you feel happy about cleaning their noses. For instance we used Little Remedies saline spray, which acts like nasal spray but uses saline instead of antihistamine, oxymetazoline or pseudoephedrine. What we did was clear one nostril at a time from backed up mucus in the nasal cavity (let it sit for about 5-10 minutes) but if you see there’s a bit of mucus in the nose you can suction it out. Beware, suction more than 3-4x a day can irritate the lining leading to more mucus and congestion or even bleeding. The saline is both safe and non-addicting and acts as a way to break up the mucus allowing it to fall back (drip into throat area to swallow) or fall forward (runny nose, visible snot/boogers).

Get his adenoids checked. May require surgery.

We tried the Frida and sucker things when my son was an infant and it just caused me to get super sick by getting covered in and breathing in concentrated boogers. Holding the baby down and using saline nasal spray to clear out the sinuses was probably the best we found. My son didn’t love it but he could sleep better.

This is the greatest thing ever invented and works like a charm.

Could he be allergic to something you've changed in his environment?

If saline, Frieda, etc. don’t work, my newborn needed occasional tiny drops of Flonase.
