Your firms most underutilized/unknown benefit?

I don’t mean to be vague but does anyone have experience or insights on if things are “better” as a black person working as a consultant or in house somewhere rather than in an agency? Any POV is helpful. For background I currently work at Ogilvy in a pretty junior role and I see NO ONE that looks like me. Peers or at the top aside from those in HR/diversity and in addition to dealing with the day to day reality of being a POC in corporate America, its hard to visualize a path to “the top”.

I just got my first job offer and I was worried at first thinking that I was in “Trump” territory, but I tested the waters in my interview and spoke about police injustices and how prosecutor’s job is not only to protect victims, but also defendants from police injustices. I have to let them know by tomorrow, but thoughts on if this is a good career move for someone who wants to work in transactional work-RE or Bankruptcy?

Quick question - Should I put emergency fund at Ally bank (or other HYSA) or Vanguard Money Market Fund?

My company matches my 401k contribution. Not sure about Roth or traditional. Trying to save up as much as I can because I am a little late to the game, late 20s. Any advice to someone trying to learn and catch up?

I’ve been on the fence regarding real estate investing. Can someone explain why not just do a REIT? I get the sense the maintenance costs plus not getting a tenant plus paying a manager to manage properties assuming you had more than 10+ would not be as efficient as just buying a REIT and letting that grow.
I like the idea of buying and renting property but I get hung up on all the risks involved and if the reward outperforms stocks.

My company allows after tax contributions that I've been leveraging for the last few years for mega backdoor Roth contributions. They just announced automated in-plan Roth conversions, and I called Fidelity to activate this automation. However, after setting it up, someone else at my company said that this is not going to be in my favor, as I regularly roll my after-tax into my Roth IRA. Is there anybody here who can help me understand the impact of an in-plan Roth conversion?

I qualify for Roth IRA contribution for 2021. Any tips on where to invest the $6k is mist appreciated. I know I will not qualify for 2022 so should I put money in 401k or Roth 401k? How to decide on which would work out better?
