Any Cost saving tips for Las Vegas?
Excellent here’s my suggested list:
Ramen at Diakaya
Himitsu
Chiko
Timber Pizza
Federalist Pig
Sonny’s
Rose’s Luxury
Pineapple and Pearls
Little Pearl
BKK Cookshop
Komi
Little Serow
Reverie
Bad Saint
Maketto
Izakaya Seki
Kith & Kin
Red Hen
Gravitas
Beau Thai
Rooster & Owl
Union Market
Rasika
The Dabney
Tiger Fork
Don’t forget a baked joint! The biscuit breakfast sandwich and cold brew will change your life!
For a non-traditional museum, would highly recommend the Newseum. It does cost, but is worth it.
Additional restaurants: anything by chef Jose Andres. Jaleo and Zaytinya are two favorites. Look into one of the new hotels down at the Wharf. Or for old world historical, look into the Willard, and next to it, the W (which has a great rooftop bar with a view). Also the Mayflower is classy. The Line is new and trendy, but a little off the beat and path.
Thank you
Unfortunately, I live to eat... rather than eat to live. Sooooo I love food
How much do you like food? We have a great restaurant and bar scene in DC these days
Le Diplomate. Go for brunch it's cheaper. Get the burger
Mushroom tart at le diplomate!
Also for non food / non museum things, Nats baseball tickets are usually really cheap. Kennedy Center has free shows at 6pm "millennium stage". And I love the monuments at night
Get a cocktail flight at Barmini, if you can manage a reservation.
For a more casual atmosphere and great beer I would recommend Jackpot.
Pretty much all good food options above, but would add Rasika for good Indian food.
All of this is like a 5-10 minute walk or less from each other.
Hotel options entirely depend on budget / loyalty program.
On a nice day, ride a scooter from one of the many startups (Bird, Lime, Skip, Spin, etc) throughout the city. You’re not supposed to go in the national mall area but everyone does anyway. So much fun and super cheap
Thank you so much everyone. Just trying to figure out which area to stay in for hotels.. does it even matter in DC?
Anywhere in NW would be great. The SW waterfront (Wharf) has also really come up recently.
