Le Meridien is in the Short North, which is close to downtown and an awesome part of town with lots of restaurants and cool places to get a drink. Also easy to hop onto 71, 70, 670, or 161 to get to wherever you need in case your client is in the burbs. You'll also be essentially reverse commuting so very little traffic. Another recommendation is the Hilton next to the convention center. Super nice and modern.
I'd still recommend staying downtown. Having worked for one of the big clothing companies in the city, I had to go to Easton a lot. After a while, Easton gets old real quick. Your commute would be 15 minutes door to door. No traffic in the morning at all and only a little when you're on the last stretch of 670 before getting off onto high street.
Thanks everyone! Le Meridien is sold out so I booked Westin.
What area of town?
The Hilton up by Easton is nice too, Polaris has some nice hotels as well. Just wondering what area of town would be the easy commute.
In the Easton area
Traffic on 670 shouldn't be too bad if you have a car. Hilton or Courtyard if you want to stay really near the area, A1's recommendations if you want to check out uptown as well.
The Westin downtown isn't bad
