2nd year staff in financial services tax compliance, currently looking elsewhere. Had an interview at a smaller public firm (less then 400 employees between 2 offices) for an advisory role doing a wide variety of roles/projects and much more actual accounting. My ultimate goal is to leave Tax but I’m hesitant to leave B4 before senior promo (this October). Any advice? Is it worth staying til senior if I want to leave tax altogether anyway?
Hi, all! I am currently in the process of switching firms. I’m at another big 4 in financial services. My new role has sent out a survey for market team preference between Financial Services and Products & Services (tech, media, telecommunications, consumer markets, etc). Where does Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi stand in terms of your B school tier based ranking?
It might be possible that the institution might not in some of the companies' list, given the alumni network is very very low (less than 1000 alumni since inception). But still it has a fairly decent CAT cutoff of 98+ and good for finance

I’m really trying to devise a plan to start my own firm. I think the midsize firm I worked for gave me real practical experience. Is it too early to go solo? What recs do you have? Also, what if I fail?
How do you come up with your labs to make sure they are aligned with the unit.? I feel like I am doing well on EOC scores but I feel like my class is a drag because we just drill concepts and the labs are not making the connections I’d like between the lesson and the activity. It becomes them just following my instruction and not much scientific processing or troubleshooting to come up with the conclusion. I want to make scientist not just students that pass the EOC.
